Hello everyone! Want to start this off by saying i just found out my frame is falling apart and my transmission just shit the bed. So with that in mind as much as i love my tacoma i think it might sadly be time to say goodbye.

Now, the dilemma. Do I shop around for a tacoma with a nice frame and drop my current v6 in or do I go a completely different route and drop it in something completely different (it feels like blasphemy even admitting to considering going with a different vehicle)? If i went with something else can anyone tell me what vehicles off the top of their head i could even fit the 5vz into, I know there probably isn’t a lot but there has to be something right?

The only reason I'm even talking about this is because my engine is still a baby with a little over 100,000 miles.

As always your help is much appreciated and hope everyone is staying safe out there!

    Sorry for your loss
Shoping around will help you decide what to do with what is available in your area
    Good luck

I would not want the headache of merging a Toyota Engine Harness into another manufactures vehicle

Then you have the assorted drive line adapting since most go Ford or Chevy engines

Look into a mid eighties Toyota or 4Runner and do the swap make it a project

You can always sell a running 3.4 engine.
