Just a guess that you'd want to start looking at GT2800 series and T3 flanges

Gt35r with the largest open V band housing (1.03) is very responsive. Any grade at all in part throttle and its into boost. Not even using the boost controller to add gain.

I had a knockoff GT35 at first and the response was so bad you could be at idle and the turbine wheel wouldn't even be spinning lol
Could have been too big a compressor wheel, idk, but I never got responsiveness until 3rd gear on the highway.

Funny now the link I posted this morning doesn’t work. Back to the drawing board. Anyone have an old ecu they want to sell?

With the new haltech software you have a 5 channel oscilloscope at your fingertips for your tune.

I still haven’t picked out a turbo. The CX manifolds are still on backorder. Salvage yard sent me an oil pan for a 4Runner, which doesn’t work on a T100. Some parts are missing in the mail. Got an Autometer boost gauge and promptly dropped it on the floor, causing the needle to pop off. Great start. Typical car shit. I did get the ecu and some bits

    DIY'd my manifolds..
Harbor Freight has $18 boost gauges, just might need to re calibrate the zero position when you open it.
Make sure you put the oil return bung as high up as possible on the pan

This is what I'm planning on going with. It does everything a Haltech does at a fraction of the cost. URD has connectors to plug into your factory harness so you don't need to chop it up.

Nice! This is exactly what I did for my turbo 3RZ I used to have. It was awesome. Just requires a little more dyi than Haltech. The urd harness makes it an easy install as well. The auto tune function of their software is awesome for tuning around town driving.

Thanks for the tips. My welding skills aren’t great, plus I’m old and beat up with arthritis in my hands so doing things twice is something I want to avoid.

I already bought a Haltech. I found an ecu dock connector online that I can plug my harness into for $22. I am making a plug and play harness at the moment, I’ll post some photos when it’s complete.

ECU is mounted in the glove box and my homemade harness is done. Still waiting for CX manifolds

May as well wire in a kill switch on the power side of the haltech just in case someone was thinking of borrowing your truck,
I put my haltech behind the glove box to be safe.
    Out of sight

Kill switch is a good idea. I do have some concerns about having the ecu so visible but there is no room at all in my dash. I will probably make a cover out of kydex, like a false back wall for the glove box, if you know what I mean.

I'd consider shielding the cam position wire and using twisted pairs where possible
