5w-30 instead 10w-30

    2.7L Detroit Truetrac 2" lift OME 880's & Dakar's
    yeah these oil threads are useless... especial talking about an old ass taco that'll run on vegetable oil. 0w40, 10w30, 5w30... it doesn't matter, used'em all!!! 2 nissans (both over 350k), and 2 chevys (both over 300k) nothing but 10w-30. today's engines different story. :deadhorse:

    So is 10w30 better for an older 2.7 Taco? If I'm not concerned on gas? 2009 with 275k miles has the vvti system

    A rtt i never use and 30 light bars
    here straight from the manual use 5w-30 and a yota filter and call it a day

    For anyone looking... Kirkland 5w30 is $38 in store for two 5 quart jugs. Best price I've seen on oil lately its gotten so expensive.
