5w-30 instead 10w-30

You revived a thread from 3 years ago to say that. That's a paddling.

 

yeah these oil threads are useless... especial talking about an old ass taco that'll run on vegetable oil. 0w40, 10w30, 5w30... it doesn't matter, used'em all!!! 2 nissans (both over 350k), and 2 chevys (both over 300k) nothing but 10w-30. today's engines different story.

 

So is 10w30 better for an older 2.7 Taco? If I'm not concerned on gas? 2009 with 275k miles has the vvti system

 

here straight from the manual use 5w-30 and a yota filter and call it a day

 

For anyone looking... Kirkland 5w30 is $38 in store for two 5 quart jugs. Best price I've seen on oil lately its gotten so expensive.
