    Happy Saturday.

I’ve decide to upgrade my suspension to a 6” Fox BDS kit. I previously had a Rough Country 3” that I hate and this time I want the job done right w a good product.

My question is, I know this lift requires a lot more work but how important is it to take my rig to a reputable offroad shop to install this? My friend owns a typical auto garage and I trust him. He says he can do it np. The kit comes w everything, diff drop etc. later down the road I’ll replace the UCAs as well. He will save me about $1,800 in labor which would be such a weight off my shoulders. I know the answer to my question relies heavily on the competency of my buddy, but any insights would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I’d think you’d need to replace the UCAs immediately with a 6” lift.

I’ve been told repeatedly that it is recommended but does not need to be done w this kit. I want them replaced, but if I can wait a month after the lift that would be best.

Right on, if he’s done one before then I don’t see an issue. I’m honestly not that familiar with 6” lifts, only know there is more work and you need to :sawzall: the crossmembers.
