Your not alone, I’m in my late fifties and have built many trucks and hot rods over the years and some of them went smoothly, and some put up a fight but ended well. Then there were some that were not ment to be. Lol. Of the last group however there are some I wish I would have pushed through and finished, if only to be able to say I won. Good luck to ya..

We've started getting engines we can observe running and perhaps even pull ourselves these days since everyone has LS fever and scumbags know that and yank em out of clapped out tahoes and shit.

Even went upmarket on this and got an LH6 because it was getting hard finding any decent genIII 5.3s anymore.

No joke. Apparently it's lucrative enough that people sit in the parking lot of Pull and Pay here waiting for LS trucks to get dumped in the lot so they can pull the engine and flip it on FB/CL.

Anyone have any guesses to make cruise work with the factory system? I tried a couple things but the cruise light will just blink faster as speed increases. I can wire it to a momentary 3 pos switch but I don’t want to be ghetto. Any ideas?

it shouldn’t be difficult as the factory cruise system doesn’t seem very intelligent but apparently more intelligent than me lol.

    LS Swap
I am running DBW and I took the cruise control wiring from the GM harness (C100 Connector) and mated it up to the Toyota switch. It should be the same signals, Cruise Set, Cruise On, Cruise Resume/Accel and a Stop. I am not sure how it would work for a DBC set up tho.

    LS Swap
You are going to need to swap out the module for a GM DBC module. It should be pretty simple to swap it out and wire it up to the stock cruise switch. Here is a diagram on how to wire it up and part numbers for the module you need.

6.0 is in and running, just need to mount an oil pressure gauge. All other coolant temp, Speedo, rpm all work. Just need to get cruise going and it will be set!18171853-0909-40B0-8922-42EE68F7755A.jpg6B784E43-514B-4311-999F-D5925B3B44E3.jpg

Awesome stuff. If you're in for another swap, look into a 2.8 cummins. Strong and sounds damn good, I've seen a few videos of old FJs and Scouts swapped with them. Not sure if they still make them though.

Thanks, but this was supposed to be an easy swap if the 2 other engines lasted. I work for a CAT dealer and I’m not too fond of diesels.
