A handful of folks are looking to get in on this so I decided to start a thread, and see if I'll keep up with it.

I'm up for suggestions as this is my first time "organizing" something here in AZ, but so far, this is what I figure:

We can meet in the Outlet Mall Parking lot off 17 at 9:30 AM so it doesn't infringe on anyone's Friday Night parties or Sat AM hangovers (specifically mine)!!!!

We cruise up to Sedona via 17 then 179. From there, we can hit 89A, and go back through the dirt roads to the Indian ruins at the base of some mountains. Along those dirt roads, pull over and have a bite to eat... so pack a lunch. It should be around 1PM by the time we eat.

The hike back to the ruins is only 20 minutes each way. Also, a tonto parking pass is required but there's a vending machine at the entrance. I'm not sure how much as the last time I was there it was close to closing and the ranger told me not to worry about it.

At the latest, it'll be 2:30 when we leave there. It's 2.5 - 3 hours to get to "Edge" from what I hear. That'll be perfect for setting up camp, and making some dinner. Then, if need be, shenanigans.

Sunday AM, we can wing it. I plan on heading home after an easy wake up and breakfast. I may do some trail running along the way... just depends how I'm feeling, or I may follow someone who's familiar with stuff up there.

I'd like to be back here by 3:30 ish on Sunday.

What time do you think you will be hitting 89A? Also, will you be on CB? If so, what channel?

Where is the hate button? There was a nice Power Wagon at the diner we had breakfast at today. Not as cool as yours though.
