Yeah, I don’t think any of us know why the delay is happening, but I agree with your instinct to be doubtful about the dealer claiming it’s a logistics/train issue. I say that only because my trucks is sitting there too and doesn’t need to go on a train. And it seems unlikely they’re having logistics issues with not enough space on both semis and trains at the same time.

Fascinating to me is that other trucks built in Baja after all of ours -after 6/4- seem to be on the move. Just so curious that our one build date is stuck there.

We’re waiting on the same truck, only different colors. :)

Interesting how the permanent VIN works differently with the GST dealerships. I’ve had my permanent VIN since my truck was built.

Agreed, if no trucks built at Baja after 6/4 were shipping that would be one thing but I've seen in the "How long did you..." thread people posting they got Limited's built from the same factory just days later already in their hands.
I emailed my sales guy asking if they could let me know if they get delivery on another so I can have the option to switch VIN's as I'm starting to wonder if something substantial was messed up at the factory that day and the quality would be compromised.
Don't want to end up buying a lemon.

Your truck sounds awesome. Very similar to mine but you got the premium off road package - what all does that entail?

Will yours go by rail at all, do you know? Or just semi straight to dealership? I’m in Tucson so mine will be out directly on semi to my dealership, which is part of why I’ve been confounded about it taking so long. No need to worry about train logistics or anything, so it seems like it should be easier/faster. But clearly there’s something else holding all our trucks at the plant.

Ooh, keep us updated. Yours would be the first one with any movement we’re aware of. Let us know if you hear any reasons for the delay too. Fingers crossed for you that it’s headed your way.

Well hello I’m waiting on a red trd off with led headlights and fog lights and the technology package built 6/4 and no movement what so ever. I got the doors unlocked notifications and have an odometer reading and fuel gage even tho both are at 0. Last update from the dealership said I shouldn’t worry about it probably just a mess up with the tracking but no holds were placed on it(photo and this update are from 7/15). The truck is being delivered to southeastern Pennsylvania

My AG Trail Edition with stupid Technology Package I was forced to take was built 5.25 and hasn't moved since. Can I join the club?

So, I called up another dealer here in MT and they have a limited already incoming that the buyer backed out on and I'm considering switching to it.

Only difference is this one has the "blackout package" instead of "nightshade edition" I assume the difference here is that the blackout version has the "bars" grill instead of the "hex grid"?

If that’s the only change that’s not a bad deal as long as the price isn’t different either. I was thinking about swapping mine for a different color

@RNILT Do you have to activate trials to get notifications or do they come just by entering the VIN in the app?

    Thanks

Okay guys, I managed to trade my way out of the 6/4 club. Unfortunate that I won't be getting the Nightshade Edition limited in MGM/Black, but I will be getting a Blackout Package MGM/Hickory, which is better than no truck for another 6 months.

Glad you have some closure in view. Regarding the Blackout, I believe it's the Tailgate Insert, Exhaust Tip and Badging. I think the wheels will be the dark "smoke" as opposed to the black. I'm sure it's going to look and perform great. Best wishes for a successful purchase and stay safe.

Guys is it possible that these trucks are sitting because they're missing a chip or something of that nature. I've heard a lot of Manufacturers have unfinished Vehicles waiting on chips

The thing that makes us believe that that’s not it is because trucks are still coming out it’s just the trucks that were built on 6/4

Are you guys waiting on a tech package or Advanced Tech package? My Tacoma got built on 7/15 and has the LED light package and the tech package and it hasn't moved. I hope I'm not in the same boat as you guys.

Are the trucks built on 6/4 showing up on the Tacoma app yet?

My Limited doesn't have any packages, all of that is standard, but other limited's are shipping just not the one built on 6/4.

Dealer contacted me today. My 6/4 build was scheduled to arrive at GST Houston on 7/19. It still has not moved from Baja factory. New schedule is 8/1.

My truck is the SR with utility package, it literally has no features.

And it has been built and has been moved to their facility in Lazaro Cárdenas.

It would be weird if they were planning on adding stuff back to it having trucked it away from the factory.
