It was decent. We took a little bit of a round about way after I took everyone to Powder Puff to play around for awhile

    That’s great!!
I was going to try writing up directions to powder puff but I didn’t think I could pull off written directions.

I’m glad you remembered how to get there. Next time I’ll take you guys to the freeway.

How was the weather? Did. You guys get rain? Wind?

I had a great time and it was a chill weekend. We had a little rain to keep the skies blue. Temps could have been a few degrees cooler, but it could have been a lot hotter too. When's the next one?

    Dirk, how do brotha?

I finally tested my homemade 2m antenna contacting the Keller Peak Repeater and the guy was telling me I was coming in super clear.:fistbump:

I've finally been on air more often, but still not enough really. Making my antenna helped with wanting to get on air more often now.

    Anyways... my homemade 2m antenna

My antenna analyzer with crucial information.
    IMG_20210710_200336101.jpg

Sweeping the entire 2m HAM band. The SWR could still be a bit better, but no real complaints here.
    IMG_20210710_200301843.jpg

My next build is a simple 70cm. Then a dual band 2m/70cm.

The idea is to hopefully utilize this or similar at San G... eventually. I have some ideas I've been wanting to try although low wattage on most radios, as you already know, will still be the choking point.

    Anyways...
