    Not sure on the fit for a short bed but they fit perfect on a long bed over the wheel wells. They stand up about 1” over the bed rails, which they have to because you need to drill holes and bolt them to the rails and have room for the lid to close.

    No weather proofing, they’re sealed. You’ll have to drill two holes close to each end then bolt to rails. You’ll need a shim on the outside on one side because of that brace, but it’s easy if you’re mechanically inclined.
