6" Fabtech with Bilstein 5100's??

you can run 5100's in the front, im planning on doing so. with that said, with the huge spacer up front, i wouldnt suggest adjusting the 5100's to anything other than 0. as for the back, i have the upgraded springs from fabtech on mine, so no comment there

i was told that adjusting the 5100s would create a pretty steep angle for the cv's. i wouldn't mind seeing some pictures at the different settings on a 6" fabtech or procomp with the 5100s. as far as the 5" block, it can be done..a few of my friends are running the bigger blocks to get the most out of their factory springs....and they are running the adjustable coilovers on the front.

Ok listen. Check out ny build i did what you all are wanting to do. I took a different route though. I have the pro comp 6 inch with the spacer up front. Have the 5100's2 set on 0. Bought ome( old man emu) coils springs. These springs are 2 inches longer than the stock coils. This is how you get 8hurt true inches out of these lifts. For the rear you will need to get bigger blocks or get a leaf pack made. Me i got 8off inch leaf packs made from alcan springs. They are not cheap but in the long run you will tank me. Blocks that big are horrible. You will have massive axle wrap and alot of vibrations. If you have any questions you can either meassage me or check out my build everything i have sone is on

Also with these lifts it brings the diff down so that at six inches its just like stock axle angles. When you go putting 2-3 more inches of lift your angles will be just like running a 3leaf inch lift.

 

And actually you dont need 5125's i have 5100's. You can get extended travel. Mine are 322 inches long and have 13 inches of travel

 

Man ur truck turned out nice!!! I wish I could afford a new leaf pack... For the time being I am going to try this: before my 6 I had a pro comp 3" when my 6 was installed the place I had it done left my old aal on my truck but since everything looked fine I just left it so I have the aal from my 6" kit since they are longer I was just going to put them on... Do u think it would work ok?

 

That im not sure of just bcz i would think both leafs are the same size and arch thus not producing any nore lift just more of a load the truck could handle

 

The ones in the 6" kit were way longer but yea I also don't know If it will provide any more lift

Look at it this way, with most of the 6" lifts, your main source of the lift is the huge spacer that the kit comes with. Could you put the 5100's at something other than 0 to achieve more lift? Yeah you could, but would you want to with the huge spacer and added load on the shock from adjusting it? I wouldn't... Sounds like disaster waiting to happen while in the middle of nowhere, out of cell service while your exploring that mountain trail you found.....

 

Thats the way i feel. Better off to spend 180 bucks more and get ome 885 coils

 

if you have the money, and want that much more lift, thats what i would do. I want to upgrade the front springs without more lift, but i think im just going to save a bit and buy some coilovers and be set for life....

 

i want 5100s and new aftermarket coils, but no additional lift to the front. any suggestions?

 

I'm doing the 885's and 5100 set at 0.. But it'll give a lil more lift I just got all of the parts I'll need so hopefully this weekend I can do it
