I'm 6'4" and looking pretty hard at the new tacoma. i understand that the cabs will be very similar to the 2nd gen, so with that in mind, those who have had plenty of hours in the cab that are over 6 foot tall, how do you feel about it? Do you wish you had more head room? seat height? Does your opinion change on long drives? This is something that is hard to tell with just a test drive around the block. I did notice that I didn't have to put the seat all the way back in the '15 like I do in most vehicles, so that's a plus. What's the tall guy consensus on midsize trucks in general?

I am 6'3" and I have yet to have a problem with the cab size so far. I've had the truck for about six months, including a couple ten hour drives that were very comfortable.

I'm 6'5" and have no issues with cab size. Tons of head room. Legs can get a little cramped if I have someone sitting behind me (I have a double cab), but otherwise the truck fits great. I have a '14 that I have put 35k highway miles on in the past 18 months.

6'0 here and it fits about perfect. I can be far away from the steering wheel and the angle my legs have to the pedals like that is great. I keep the back almost straight too.

You won't have a problem. I'm 6'2" and I make a 5 hour trip every two weeks with my friend in his 2013 DC. We stop only once the entire trip at the same gas station about halfway.
Edit. 2nd gen truck sorry. I'm sure it'll be fine however

I'm 6'2" and I have a 2007 Double Cab. The seat goes back just barely far enough. I do tilt the seat back a little further than most so that my butt settles as far back in the seat as possible. I have no issues with head room or steering wheel adjustment.

Will the 2016 have a Telescoping steering wheel? Where it goes in and out? I'm 6'1" but I drive real close to the pedals and telescope the wheel all the way out to me. I grew up in racecars so it's natural

I'm 6'0. I had my 06 for 5 years and always felt the roofline was too low, the rear view mirror didn't help the situation. Lots of headroom and comfortable seats mind you. I have a Frontier now and highly prefer the seating position, visibility and seat adjustment.

Here is a pic of me in the cab. I can take another with leg room looking at POV towards the steering wheel if it helps, but you should just climb into a truck and see.

I am 6'7" with a 35" inseam and 285 lbs. I have no complaints or problems with any part of the cab size. Steering wheel, seat adjustments, pedal location, nothing.

I fit as good in my truck as I did in my previous 1998 GM full size ext cab.

    Shoe size is 15, FWIW.

Am 6'2". The seating is actually too low on my 2015. Would like adjustable seat height and larger entry as leg hits dash board. The better models have adj lumbar support. Hope all have them on 2016.

If you are too tall for the rear mirror, rotate it 180 degrees so the night flipper is on top. It will sit under the front edge of the head liner and moves a few inches higher. It may be harder to flip the night flipper though

my son is 6 foot 6 and he drove just fine in my 2011. I am 6 foot 2 and have no issues. if the third gen is like the second for interior space you will be fine.. don't expect to put a 6 foot tall person in the back seat if you are in the front.

110 lbs 5'5" females barely fit comfortably behind me FWIW, but I didn't buy it to haul adults. When my kids don't fit in the backseat anymore I'll upgrade. I have about 12 years until then. :D

we have a tall family... my wife is 5'11, I am 6'2, my oldest is 6'6 and my youngest is 5'... on trips with all four of us I could cram the 6'6 boy in the back seat behind mom... he was not happy but fit ok.
