6'1" and I fit fine. I did notice that when I had my Clazzios in, the extra memory foam pad raised me up about 3/4"-1" (I could just be imagining it though). I found that to be more comfortable than the stock seat cushion. I felt that the little extra height gave me a better view of my hood clearance when approaching obstacles (trees, concrete barriers in parking lots, other cars when parallel parking, etc.). I agree with @PeeRunner that when you have passengers in the rear of a double cab, it gets a little cramped. My normal seating position leaves little to no room behind me for a passenger. I move up and it's fine for a quick trip, but that sux for long drives and I can't wait to get out and stretch my legs after even 2 hours. My girl and MIL are both barely over 5' and I'm ok with either of them behind me, but anyone taller and it's a compromise for both of us. I am driving alone 90% of the time though.

I have that same problem, my knee just sits between the door and wheel. I would hate for it to be there for a side impact on the driver's side...

Driver POV. I have lots of room. I can't sweep my leg beyond the silver cladding on the steering wheel and it is in the tallest position, but I don't need to, hard to drive with your legs crossed.

I prefer auto for non sports car DDs. My Bronco had a 4 speed and I loved driving it, but I also didn't drive it in San Francisco or take it on multi state road trips. :anonymous:

My friend is 6'9 and he fits just fine in my truck, with no "seat dropping" In fact he fits better in my truck with head room ect than in one of his trucks. Forget about someone sitting behind him though

6'4" here and I fit fine just fine. We have two kids and they don't have any issues in the back seat. One of them is 5' and the other is 4'.
My last truck was an 09' Tundra Crew...sure this is smaller inside but we got use to it. My wallet likes the Tacoma better at the pumps too...friggin 5.7L sucked gas like mad.

6'4" - i wish the steering wheel would telescope farther backwards, if i have the seat all the way back i feel like i'm stretching for it. Rear seat legroom behind me is nonexistant unless i push the seat up a few inches - which is tolerable, but i have short legs / long torso. The other thing is i wish the door panels were narrower, and the parts that my knees contact were contoured better. I've sat in much worse.

6'-5" weighing in at 230. I don't have a lot to offer other than the fact that I drove a basically brand new truck from Vermont to Florida in 25 hours!

I had no issues besides wishing that the telescoping steering wheel pulled back a little more.

I'm 6'1" and a skinny 160lbs. I have an MT and my knee hits the e brake sometimes (boots). No complaints other than that.

OP: I have heard numerous reports that the upgraded seats with bolsters (TRD and limited) are much more comfortable than the base or SR5 seats - one member even said he refused not to upgrade after sitting in them. But looking at this thread I notice a few people say they've driven for hours with no problems and I notice they don't drive TRDs so maybe you should go sit in both. FWIW I hear the 2016 Tacoma has more cabroom from a member who sat in one, but I can't find the thread or I would link you. Based on others' comments I think you will be alright in the driver's seat.

But I'm 5'9" so you might not give a fuck
What better model is there than an offroad? The Limited is not the only package with lumbar support unless they removed it, I have an adjustable lumbar cushion in my 2007 SR5. Also, seat covers or actual reupholsteries (Clazzio, Katzkins) may add some height. Throw in a comfort pad or heating/cooling cushion and you might be where you want.
He needs a 3" driver side spacer to level the truck out.
Is that what "boots" look like in California?
