There is a guy on the internet who has a 6 inch RC lift and a certain type of Bilstein Shock and is sitting at 8 inches of lift, Can someone tell me what type of bilstein he is using like a cerial number or a specific type because there are so many options on bilstein and it is confusing. I want to be able to sit at 8 inches of lift without using body lift or levels, is that possible? I have screenshots of the Bilstein but they are not clear.

Your question is too vague for anyone to really help.

How can I get my RC 6 inch lift to 8 inches in the front without using a body lift?

I would call RC, this may be something they could answer more specifically. I don't recall any thread about 8",, that's quadruple what most are lifting.

8" is way much too much lift for the RC kit to have it be reliable. It's the same thing as having more than 3" lift w/o drop brackets, you'll ruin your CV joints (the boots in particular) and increase the stress on the steering rack (wearing out bearings and fluid leaks), not to mention, ruin the ride quality. 6" is about the upper limit for RC (others such as BDS you can squeak 7" out of it due to differences in the bracket design).

Well if I throw out ride quality is there any possible way to make it 8?

I'm guessing ride quality went out the door about 6" ago.

Start by measuring to see if you actually have a 6" lift. All the rough country front shocks that I have see sag like a motherF.

Why don’t you ask the “guy on the internet”? I’m sure he knows what he’s using.

Yeah to be honest if I wanted ride quality I would have bought a Prius.

Well in that case, all you need to do then is stack some thick-ass spacers on top of the barrel spacers your kit already has (why bother with Bilstein or any other decent shocks?). It'll be sitting right against your downtravel stops, but you'll be ridin' high & proud! :bananadead:

FWIW, I believe Bilstein discontinued their drop bracket kit offerings anyway, there's nothing showing on their web page anymore.

You can get 8” of lift in front by combining a 6” drop bracket kit and a 2” IFS lift. For example a rough country 6” drop bracket kit with a pair of Bilstein 5100’s with the circlip set appropriately.

There are no cv joint issues to worry about, because a 6” drop bracket lift lowers the diff 6”.

You are to going to have a serious center of gravity issue and other issues though.

Also note that tossing on some 35” tires will lift the truck 2”.

EDIT: Ignore this post. I was wrong. I assumed when they say 4" or 6" that they are talking about the drop bracket only. I didn't know it also included an IFS lift.

Just pair that 8" lift with -100et wheels and some massive spacers. Center of gravity restored!
