I had a pro comp on my Titan before I sold it. Solid lift system, and from platform to platform their products aren't that different. I'd say it isn't that bad of an option.

If all you want is a mall crawler with bigger tires, I say go for it. They build solid systems.

    Yes
But the ProComp lift components are not designed as well and the ProComp CO's and shocks are complete non rebuildable garbage whereas the BDS kit comes with Fox CO's and shocks. BDS had better ground clearance and comes with a skid plate too. Ever heard the term " you get what you pay for " ? Go on the 6" lift thread and ask any of those guys what kit they would buy you are going to hear BDS.

FYI - you don't need UCA's with a drop bracket lift because the drop bracket itself along with the extended spindle retain OE specs.

I have had 3 Tacomas with Pro Comp lifts and had zero problems. Have you ever heard "if you beat the shit out of anything it WIll break" If you get the stage 2 kit they are almost identical If you want pics let me know what you want to see..

    Yes
No, they are not almost identical. The BDS kit has many advantages over the PC :

    1. The BDS kit comes with a skid plate.

    2. The BDS kit has better ground clearance both under the front cross member and crown clearance.

    3. The BDS kit use fully serviceable Fox CO's and shocks whereas PC uses an non serviceable sealed cartridge CO design. You literally can't service the PC CO's ( or shocks ) or revalve them etc. internally they use a sealed cartridge that even PC will not service. Only PC can service the CO's which means you have to pull them and ship them to them on your dime vs being able to service and revalve a Fox CO anywhere anytime. If you do send a CO to PC they remove the cartridge and replace it for something crazy like $600 AND there is no way to ever re valve them etc.

    4. The BDS kit uses Eibach coils vs the POS 700lb pogo sticks that PC uses.

Ok so shocks are the big difference, and a skid plate. Sounds pretty similar to me, I will say to each his own I was just saying I have had no problems with the PC ones I have had and their lift shield warranty sounds like it is the same as long as you have it installed by a professional.. If you go hard you better be prepared to pay, stuff will break no matter who's it is.

I have 18's with 305 70 18's almost identical tire size I just didn't want them to rub and they look good I think. There are a lot of 6 inch haters on here, so If you like it thats all that matters.

Exactly do what you like, there is tons of good advice on there when you are trying to solve problems or see what others have done.. but when it comes to how it looks its all up to you.. keep looking at everyones stuff and you will see what you like or don't like.
