fixed the driveline vibes I had.

Save up for a decent set of coilovers in the front ( Icons, kings, etc) and springs and new shocks out back and it wont ride bad.

My truck rides pretty nice with the Icons up front and Alcans and 5125s out back.

sorry not trying to be a dick but i really did search for like a month straight before i did mine and couldnt really find any good answers. Why does the drop bracket suck for off road? do you lose clearance with it because it doesn't seem like it. what are the other alternatives? good coilovers up front leaf packs out back? but how much lift can you realistically get with that kind of a setup? can you clear 33's with no cutting no fender well modding and without screwing with the suspension geometry so that it cant be aligned?? And if you do lose clearance from the drop bracket wouldnt that only matter for rock crawling? in the sand (which what i mainly do) its all about approach and departure angle the drop bracket wouldnt matter at all. Again not trying to be rude just trying to get some real answers from people with experience which i couldnt find before.

i'm sorry to have to say it but,,,, pro comp lifts are fucking horrible.

it's all down to what you can actually tolerate. mine rides so hard oh thats right it's not even the right lift they sold me lol.

forget that i guess, lets just say even if you had the correct model truck a 720 pound spring rate is high for any tacoma unless you are carrying a significant amount of weight.

if a drop bracket lift was on my short list it would be the rcd or bds, but i will never buy anything pro comp again. with the exception of their wheels which seems to be the only thing they make properly now a day's.

    ^ This.

Tacoma's look funny with 6". They look like a tonka toy to me... Plus the whole ground clearence thing. I remember reading that a truck with 3" and 33's has more ground clearence than a truck with 6" and 35's because of the drop bracket... not sure if that's true though, just remember reading it on here.

Id say dont as well, I was on the cusp of getting one about a year ago and im glad I didnt. Its really not changing the suspension of the truck, its putting spacers between you and the suspension creating the exact same as stock but with longer spindles and either a 6 inch spacer or a coilover. Also these trucks cant clear 33s let alone 35s with stock fenders without modification a drop bracket doesn't solve this it just moves the problem so as soon as you compress the suspension you rub.

Make life simple get some coilovers and 33s and save some cash

Im not meaning to step on anybodys toes with a drop bracket its just how I feel.

ome coils are progressive so they can handle more weight in the form of bumpers winches but, not rattle the teeth out of your head.

pro comps springs are not progressive they are horrible. i have the sway bar removed on my rig and the arb is supposedly in the mail from them to begin to correct the problem i'm having with their shit 3 inch lift. i also have a warn 9500 winch going in there with steel cable just to get more weight over the front axel and i'd bet my ass it still won't articulate at all. i will say it again call a shop that has experience in dealing with tacomas and better yet different spring rates like ome and dsm.

they will tell you what i'm about to a 730 pound spring rate is over kill for most set-ups you will find out soon enough and it brings me absolutely no joy in tearing anyone down here who has this lift and likes it. i'm running off of my own experience and from my extensive research i have done both with pro comp ome dsm and 4wp.

also since you ordered through 4wp's i would expect like 0 customer service to go along with your stiff drop bracket lift. if you can cancel your order do it! and if you must have a drop bracket lift go with rcd they produce a very nice drop bracket for our trucks.

I had a local shop build it. it was 350 and they cannibalized my stocker to make it

Still need a track bar to tame some axle wrap ( bud built in my future)
