6 lug to 5 lug conversion

    2001 double cab tacoma
    ok, I have a 2001 double cab Tacoma and I was just wondering if the conversion from 6 lug to 5 lug would be as simple as changing out the rear axles and the front spindles?

    i've come to notice there's a better wheel selection for 5 lug than there is for six lug. The set of wheels i've found are only made for five lug.

    Way easier and cheaper to have the wheels re-drilled for a 6lug. Whole entire suspension and mounting points are different. Hell, you'd even be better off selling your truck and buying a 5lug

    3in lift (Bilstein 5100, AAL), Bull Bar with halogen Hella Fogs and High Beams
    First of all why the hell would one want a 5 lug. Secondly you can probably get some sort of adapter/wheel spacer that will convert from a 6lug pattern to a 5 lug pattern.

    Wow, really? You do realize that this question was asked on, and posted to the 5-lug sub-forum, right?

    Bore size, possible need for center hub ring-adapters would require further investigation, before considering the below spacer/adapter find:
