Disclaimer: This is just some first hand feedback for someone wanting to make a system upgrade with minimal expense and limited time. Keep in mind that this Sub is not intended to win any stereo competitions and is probably not what the 'hard core' guys want or like.

So with all that said, I purchased a 6" Bazooka 100 watt powered subwoofer from Amazon for $150. I have a 2014 DCSB with the factory Non-JBL audio system. The stock system is 'decent' but really lacks bass. After reading a bunch of reviews, I figured what the heck. Wow! this little sub thumps hard and totally changed the sound of the stock system:eek:. The Amp does have a gain control and I set it at about 40%. Install was pretty simple. I removed the driver side plastic tray from behind the back seat. The sub fits nice and snug with no issues or straps. I then ran the fused link from the battery back to the sub (under the truck and drilled a hole into the cab floor). Grounded the unit to the cross bar on the back wall. Lastly, I had to splice into the rear door speakers (Right & Left) and jump some speaker wires to the sub. In order to do this, I had to undo the seat belt and pull the plastic from the pillar between the front and back doors. This was the most time consuming part. Overall, it was a great $150 purchase with a huge impact.:D

    Hello,
Why do you need to drill a hole on the cab floor just to install power for your sub? You can just run the power wire with fuse from the battery to the firewall then along the side floor panel to the sub location. Godspeed.

x2, I would never have done that. That metal will be so sharp and will rub and eventually SHOrt out and burn your truck down. SEEn it happen.

Please make sure you maybe insert a grommet or run via firewall anyways

Guys - I used a small rubber grommet in the drilled hole. Should be safe for years to come...
