My 07 has 180,000 Miles clutch went out around 140,000 miles everything else seems to holding itself together. Replaced front wheel bearings @ 50k that sucked only changed front pads once I think around 95k miles. I've got a 6speed pretty happy with it.

I had an '06 6-speed and now have a '14 6-speed....both with a TRD short throw...both seemed the same to me. But, every truck is unique, so maybe I got lucky :)

Hmmmm....I had a squeak in hot weather in my '06. I then got a recall notice in the mail (years ago) for a squeaky clutch. Fixed 'er right up.

My '07 has 94K miles and I did the front hubs/bearings at 70K for the growl, the recall on the throwout bearing, routine oil, and filters. I am looking forward to getting a mid year 16 or a 17 WITH a 6speed manual. All I have to say to the matic guys is, "Don't drive a stick." it will poison you. It did me.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
Ok so I just drove to the gas station in my truck. It has 8200 and some change miles..

I turned the corner and drove up the onramp and when I got to the highway merge I stepped on it in 3rd gear.. I thought I heard it slip.

This is post engagement already been in gear for a bit, no foot on the clutch pedal and I thought I heard it slip! I backed off and drove the rest of the way thinking I was crazy! Theres no way?

Then on the way back I tested it. Cruising at about 25 mph in 3rd gear, if I step on the gas I get a little slip in the clutch.

Now this is weird as fuck. It feels normal, minus the slip. Its only 8k miles on a brand new 2015 truck!

I am by no means new to manuals. Everything I own is a manual, and the 2013 I traded in was a 6spd that I put 23 or 25k rough miles on without a problem.

My concern is that it feels like oil on the clutch. I had a rear main fail in a 22re that did this. However I looked and no evidence of oil yet.. and that brings me to my question.

Does anyone with a supercharged 6spd have experience with the stock clutch giving out early?

My clutch master cylinder was replaced at 35k. The symptom that got it into the shop was that it squeeked really badly. There was, however, also a little hiccup I would feel only in 3rd gear and only at about 25 miled per hour that preceded the horrible squeezing. Oh, also only when the vehicle was cold.

Could I swap a 6 sp gearbox in my 2006 for a newer one? Maybe a 2008 or 09 model?

I've been completely through the transmission and got to know all the revisions and part upgrades. Try to find a '14-'15, with low mi. if possible, that is when the final upgrades occurred making it a pretty decent 6 speed IMHO. Its a direct swap. The 6 speed holds only 1.9 qt. and has no filter or internal magnet so get in the habit of more frequent gear oil changes.

I’m at 66k miles on my 6spd. No issues other than the squeaky clutch pedal in the beginning. Hasn’t squeaked since the last time the dealer greased it which was probably at like 12k miles. I also have the short shifter

zero problems w/ my 6spd aside from the TOB noise. But it's just a noise, is intermittent and I only notice it when I pay attention to it. Otherwise, the trans has been great!

I love mine so far. I only have 18,400 miles on it though. It does take some getting used to. I plan on trying Redline MT-90 in the near future to try to smooth out the little bit of notchiness it has. No real complaints though so far other than the squeaky pedal. I've got it to where it only does it bad enough to be slightly annoying when it's really hot out.

Mine also had this so i greased the pushrod yesterday and now its as quiet as a church mouse. Its underneath the pedal and its a silver rod that goes into the floor of the truck. The silence is wonderful now. You may give this a try

I've been around the block many times with the lubrication in these transmissions, and I'm a firm believer that Redline's MT oils are the only oils that should be used. you will feel some of the improvement pretty quickly, and it will improve from there over time.

Attached is a picture of the area circled in yellow where I liberally greased the pushrod, and then proceeded to push the clutch in and out multiple times (with the truck off). Then I would apply more grease. I got in and out of the truck probably ten times to get more grease after pushing it in and out ten times or so. It was really dry to say the least, and it fixed my pedal problem. Mine was getting really annoying though where it would make a bad creak when pushing in and releasing the clutch. I finally gave in and did something about it. BTW, just for reference, my 6spd only has 37k miles on it. It didn't do it when I first purchased the truck at 24k miles, but over the last 13k, its gotten progressively worse. Hoping this can help someone out that is going crazy from the clutch pedal creak. Also, I used Super Lube grease like total chaos upper control arm poly bushings call for in case anyone is wondering. It's a clear looking grease

I have been using lithium grease spray on various areas and the squeak will go away for a about a month and then come back. I think I will try this. Thanks for the info.

I did this to mine last week and it's nice and quiet now. Time will tell how long it lasts. I also hosed down the pivot point of the clutch pedal up under the dash with some lubricating oil. Other than some unusual contortion, it wasn't too bad to do. I also turned the push rod about a quarter of a turn. I read on another post here to do that.
