You got a link to that tilton? The only ones I knew about were the urd which has since been discontinued, and the clutch Masters which I think has also been discontinued. I believe both of those used t56 throw outs on their own unique bracketry and a fairly convoluted bleeder system.

Looks like you’re gonna need the trans mount too.

Did you get the T/O bearing and all of the release stuffs along with?

There was a guy on the fj transfer swap thread that did some fancy scan deal and then 3D printed a template to use when “adjusting” the back of the trans to accept the fj case. We need that guy.

Yes but it looks like the TO bearing has been separated. I have a new one on the way.

Here's the link to the google drive with a fusion 360 file (Free for personal use)

    Fusion 360 Personal:
    https://www.autodesk.ca/en/products/fusion-360/personal

    Google Drive:
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1JrNnwKkB7NZrTJ24vJA3Fn3Y9bH2Cpon?usp=sharing

You "should" be able to take this file to a local 3d printing company and get them to print it for you if you don't have a 3d printer yourself. I only say "should" because some 3d printing programs might not be able to import a file from fusion 360. In which case you'd have to download the program, export it into a suitable file format, and then send it to the 3d printing company.

Just note, I left the Shift Rod dowels a bit long, since different people will have different preferences with how far they want to grind the shift rods down (please don't grind that far into your transmission :anonymous:)

So for the gents that are looking to do the AWD case with the RC62F it does not look promising at this point.
The two shafts stick out 21mm ish. The one on the pass side of the case or has the taper in the pic has enough sticking out to trim down. It look like the max depth on the back of the RC is 14mm and that is starting to break through at the top edge. May be able to see in the pic.
The shaft on the driver's side of the t-case does not look like there is room to cut it down. I may be able to tap the seal in farther but not sure on how much I could cut off. Not 7mm anyways.
So I'm open for thoughts because I would love for this to work.
P.S. pics are not in order.

Sorry last pic is of the 21mm shaft measurement up to the back of the trans after the clearancing.

That’s awfully close, I wonder between grinding the shift rails down a bit, honing out the trans area as much as possible and then if you make a small spacer between the trans and tcase. The biggest challenge there would be ensuring the transfer input shaft has enough spline engagement.

I like the idea of a 3-4mm spacer, but I don't think it can go any bigger than that. You would run into the issue of the dowels not lining up the two parts.

it would be easy enough to mock up using some washers to simulate the spacer and see if it would be enough.

yeah that is true. If my quick math was right there is a 7-8mm "giving 1mm of leeway" that need to be made. The shaft on the drivers side sits flush with the front of the t-case when 4lo is engaged. That does not leave much of the shaft to trim. I may be able to tap the seal in farther, but I'm done for the night. Especially after the t-case falling on my big toe. I really want the to work.

How much of the RH shaft protrudes when the shifter has it all the way rearward?

@BillDaCat8 That is all the way rearward. So there is room to cut that one down. The other pic where they are equal is them all the way forward. The issue I see is the left shaft or drivers side. It sits flush with the front on the t-case when all the way rearward.
I'm going to leave all the text here, but add, the pic you are quoting is both shafts all the way back.

@BillDaCat8 do you have the heavy flywheel or the OEM? You have the stock gearing and tire size, correct?

Not that it's particularly relevant, more so looking for the same answer you are than anything but I have stock gears, started ordering parts for 4.88's and the URD heavy flywheel.

I think I will go back to a stock weight one with gears though.
