If timing is right, I will have a Fj Cruiser auto case that is converted for the manual when your ready. Hopefully that I will have my RC62F by then. LOL

    My shit is all stock.
My panel bond adhesive is a lot slower to cure than I’d like. So, I probably won’t be able to unclamp and continue with the floor until tomorrow evening.

I got the harness all positioned and ready. Had to move a few clamps and such. No biggie. Had to get creative with the harness holder on the reverse switch. The new trans does not have a bolt hole there like the RA trans did.

I stole this clamp I had languishing in the garage from my bimmer project and made it work. A 90118-WA732 would be a better choice here though.

Exhaust manifold brackets off the bell housing are the same. So, that just works.

Do you have a picture of the shift lever retainers for the RA and RC side by side? Curious if they share the same bolt pattern.

    Looks like it's coming together!

looks like they moved the breather up to the shifter too, the RA breather was on the top passenger side of the bell housing.

I’ve got some tubing ready. Once the transfer case is bolted up, I’ll get it all connected up.

in think that’s a good change too because the old one being integrated into the housing was a pain to extend higher. With this design it would be easy to run some tubing from the shifter up to the top of the engine bay.

Finished up the floor editing tonight.
Pics are dark, I know. I’d lost daylight by the time I thought to take pics.

@BillDaCat8 What axle gearing are you running? I am excited to hear how the different ratios work with power band of the 1GR.

So am I! Gearing is just the stock 4.10 gearing. 1GR power band is augmented by our friends at TRD/Magnussen.

You’re right. My memory ain’t what it used to be. 3.73 it is. I haven’t changed anything on the axles.

You can get 4.10 out of the same year 4 bangers (6 lug), 3.90 from 2016+ V6 auto and 4.30 from 2016+ V6 manual. All of these more or less bolt in directly.

Speaking of X-Runners, I wonder how this swap would work in one.
I loathe the transmission in mine.
Is the 3rd gen 6 speed available in prerunner/2wd models or is it 4wd only?

I'm supercharged too. With 4.10 gears. I was thinking the 4.3 gears would be a good combo. My big concern is the reverse ratio. For me it seems like anything under 2k rpm's is useless. If seems like the ecu will only allow 20% power no matter how much gas you give it, then bang! At 2k roasting tire cause it gave you what your asking a of it. Lol! And no, I do not have traction control.
