so I reinstalled my shifter after changing my clutch and my 3 rd gear seems to be stiff when I shift into it, my question is in the assembly is there a little washer that is sapossed to go in there, I’ve seen some videos where it’s just the plastic piece and no washer ? If anyone has a diagram on how it is assembled

OP, the shift lever has a nylon bushing that snaps to the very end. The whole shift lever is inserted into the shift tower and sits on a two-piece bushing so that the ball-like part of the lever swivels in the bushing. The upper part of the bushing has a washer-like piece that is white and may be what you are referencing? The lower part of he bushing is usually green.

So this is how the thing is reassembled:
    1. Place green part of bushing into shift tower and makes sure the bushings sits on the little flat step at the bottom.
    2. Place the white washer-like piece on top of the green bushing. You will have to negotiate it around the two pins that stick out into the shift tower. Place a little grease on it.
    3. Insert the shift lever into the shift tower and down through the bushing so that the ball-part of the shift lever sits in the white washer like piece.
    4. Move the spring collar on the shift lever down and engage the two pins in the shift tower. The collar has to be pushed some and twisted to lock it in place. A towel or gloves will help greatly.
    5. Finish with small boot over the shift tower and then the large boot.
