Question: I have a nicely optioned 2005 TRD access cab with the 6 speed and factory TRD exhaust with a toyota chrome tip (factory). I was told the 6speed was/is rare and I never see a factory chrome tip on the exhaust. Think mine was a special order?

    Thoughts???? Thx. :D

Not rare, just not popular. Chrome tips aren't rare either.

    It's a common truck.

You probably have the trd exhaust. That was probably a $500 option, so that's nice. I have a stick, & I imagine 20% of tacomas have one, but that's just a guess, so not super rare.

Rare Tacomas would be the baja, trd pro, etc.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
No rarer than mine, the 4 cylinders are much less common than any V6. And I still see quite a few Tacos with manuals, although, the automatics are taking over more and more every year. Toyota is one of the few that even offer a manual transmission in their trucks still so I consider it a blessing. Love my 5spd.
