    how about this?
i set it up to have 3 tabs on the top to use either double sided tape, glob of glue or just in friction. the tabs are easy to bend.

will test it once i get my truck back from the wife as she took it to buy more damn plants for the yard lol

As soon as you verify the fancy switches fit in the clock mounting plate, I'll place an order for it!

its a tight fit, like RCH tight. it touches on all sides. but they do function as normal so it should be fine. you will have to install the plate then put in the switches from the front.

    hmmmm RCH tight..... :D

I was going to put my winch controls there with those switches, one is on/off, other is momentary on/off/on, think they would still be safe enough for that?

    Just thinking out loud...
Is there enough material in the switch cover to file/sand/remove some of the edge to make some room?
If they're functioning now, seems like it wouldn't take much material removal... Would make it safer for winch applications as asked above.

you could possibly sand it down some to fit better. with a momentary switch i think you would be fine as its only tight in the center where the switch is the widest.

also didnt know if anybody would get the RCH comment lol

Well I suppose I'll give it a try and see how it does with the winch controls. The power isn't momentary but the In/Out is. I'll PM you to order one.

Got my switches and plate installed. Looks factory! Thanks to paranoid for the plate and pcbuilder for the inspiration!

yep! i cannibalized my clock about 5 months ago so the switches are held in using the old clock housing. works great so far, but it is pretty flimsy... probably should pick up one of your clock mounting plates eventually.
