Honestly, I don’t like the hitch carrier. I doubt I’ll even use it anymore. I just left the option because I could easily do so.

It was. I can’t use the carrier on a trail, and it takes too much weight off the tongue.

The trailer tows fine with it on, but the Lunette bounces in the pintle too much.

Awesome. Maybe I started a new thing and a few of these things will be put back on the road. Perfect size for an off road trailer IMO.

    Nice. That’s pretty sweet.

The axle is a custom width 3,500 lb. springs are 3,500 lb with the bottom two leafs removed. The shocks are meant for a T-bucket and are from Speedway Motors.

Thanks man! Its been a slow process and a money pit but its been fun!

I also have a custom 3,500lb axle, but the trailer came with a single leaf and there is no leaf hangers so it bounces a lot!

I will have to build a custom shock mount for the shocks, also should install some brakes on this thing. im sure it will be very helpful going down hills.

found this on Amazon... for the price im going to try them out.

Nice. With the setup I have, the trailer doesn’t bounce. I’m sure you will be much more happy once you add hangers and shocks.

And tell me about money pits... I just broke my second rear Diff of the season.

I’m now looking to install a Currie 9”. I’d also like to do a Marlin Crawler at the sane time. No sense shortening the driveshaft twice.

I also want to do 37s and the new Marlin steering rack when it comes out. My trailer is actually up for sale to help fund these projects.

My ultimate goal is to have a tow rig, so the trailer would go at some point anyway.

Haha. Yeah that is my goal with my truck also. But that dream requires me to own 3 vehicles and a home with some space to store that crap. im not baller status yet so i have to get in where i fit in for the time being.

Truck is also a money pit which is also preventing baller status from being achieved. I need to buy new hubs so i can replace my bent knuckles with gusseted knuckles, and weld on alignment tab gussets so i dont bend those anymore either.

I guess thats why they say "you gotta pay to play"

@stairgod sent me this earlier. I’ve managed to bend a gussetted spindle..

Next time, I will buy these.

I wonder what the weight deference is between those and stock! Haha. Look WAY heavier!

Also what were you doing when you bent that gusseted spindle?

    Wow...

That’s ridiculous. Stevie Wonder maybe. Definitely not Ray Charles.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:
    :bananadead:

I think that you would have to be giving zero Fs to bend something that is gusseted. Expecially if its the TC gussets. I have them welded to my replacement spindles in my garage waiting to be installed and they look pretty beefy.

Nah, despite what Mohawk says, I do not abuse my truck. I’m as careful as I can be on the trail.

    Shit happens
