In his defense, he did opt for the weaker gussets. I welded them properly.
And don't listen to him. He bent his bumper and front frame crossmember on a single big rock while being "careful"

To be fair, I have a slightly bent spindle and I have the stronger gusset design.

I hit my tire pretty hard when i slid off a line trying to do a hill climb. My tire hit the face of a rock with a bit of speed and bent my alignment tabs and spindle. Im hoping it will take a lot more than that to bend these gusseted ones.

I built a small storage box under the mattress to store things like rain weather gear, batteries, hammock, extra hoodie, and other things i dont use on the regular but end up needing at some point.

I know you sold the trailer so I hope you don't mind a few questions - what size square/rectangular tubing did you use for the frame? I read up on the axle so I will likely go the same route and measuring the face to face length sounds straight forward, the site mentioned something about minimum overhang (distance from spring to hub face), did you encounter any issues with that distance or did you just go off your frame size since you were working with a specific Sears tub? Awesome build thread, super informative!

Sorry. I never saw this. 3x3 for the frame box. 1.5x3 for the tongue supports.

I just went off the size of the box.
