Thank you Floyd. I’m way more confident this time around.

And that’s it. Capped the three open ends, and the frame is finished.

Saving weight where I can this time around. The last trailer had two cross pieces in the middle. That was overkill. One is more than enough.

I’m not putting plate on the tongue or making a rear bumper this time either. The jack mounts will be welded right to the back of the frame.

I also had a bunch of gussets on the last trailer. Mainly, because it was my first real welding project, I knew I’d be taking it out to Moab and running the Kokopelli, and I just wasn’t confident in my abilities. This one will only get that one gusset on the hitch plate.

Im not going to put a receiver hitch or cargo basket in the back either. It took too much weight off the tongue, and I just strap the cooler on the flatbed now.

I need more tires so the truck and the trailer can roll simultaneously...

Thanks Tim. I'm rebuilding a 4x8 utility trailer but putting a set of pre-tacoma 2wd leafs on it instead of the stiff trailer springs. I'm mounting them using all Ruff Stuff brackets. I'm hoping it will net a few inches of lift and not bounce so much while keeping the payload capacity

Looks like you are going to have to complete it to get rid of it! Just sell the completed version and keep the upgraded version. Plus it gives you a project to work on and learn more with!
