    Light day.

2” receiver for a hitch carrier to hold my cooler, and a tongue plate.

Did you take in consideration for the swingout on the taco for tongue length?

I don’t have a swingout on the Taco. From Googling I read a bunch of “the tongue should be at least 4’”. Then, I asked my friend @stairgod what he thought. He’s a pretty talented fabricator, and I value his opinion. Jon said “at least 4’”. So, I went with 4’.

Plus, I knew I needed room for the LP tanks, Scepter can, and folding tongue jack.

If I did have a swingout, it would’ve been considered though

Oh right on yea forgot. The 4’ looks decent to allow a swingout, without the added tanks of course.. My utility trailer doesn’t have a long tongue to it. I have to measure but I’d guess 3’. Depend on pitch I’m parked on the swing out just clears it or doesn’t open.. I’d need to factor this for the time being.

Yeah, I did have a swingout tailgate at one point. It wouldn’t open with my last trailer. It was kind of annoying.

Be interested to know tongue weight % once that thing is done.

Yes. It will not change much when loaded typically.
Throwing a huge spare tire and swingout on the rear of the trailer, or a 40 gallons water tank on the tongue will definitely change that though.

Makes sense and yeah you can have the most perfectly balance trailer but if it's not loaded properly it takes away of well made it is

It is what it is. I did the math and put the axle where it’s supposed to be. 60/40 split on the cargo area of the trailer.

I’d rather have a little too much tongue weight than not enough anyway.

I’ll also have a hitch carrier and a cooler hanging off the back. So, a little extra tongue weight won’t be a bad thing.

You have a shackle flip though so I don’t know how much weight, if any you want on your truck. Word on the streets is towing with a shackle flip is more dangerouser than taking your swaybar off:boink::stirthepot:
