Here is a step by step of what I have done so far, I will finish up after I thaw out ..... this weather sucks!

This is the way it looked prior to starting. Pay no attention to the dirty floor mats, it's just a beater so it's okay.:D

I took the seats out and took them in the house and studied every aspect of the seats and the brackets. You can see that there are two different brackets and they are marked IN and OUT. I assume for "inside" and "outside"

They are slightly different as you can see the space between the hole and the key tab. And you can see that the key tabs are bent slightly different. The IN and OUT are not interchangeable.

You can see the different spacing on the seat bottom as well.

There is about 3/32 of play forward and backward when the bolts are inserted and snug , not tight. I will try tightening the four bolts marked in red while rotating the seat the 3/32 to see if I can resolve it this way. If not, I will bend the key tabs slightly to see if that allows more play.

I will edit this post after I go out and try all the possibilities.

ETA: After trying all adjustments and bending the key tabs slightly, it was clear that I was not going to change the alignment. So the only thing I could do was to insert a couple washers at the red arrow. Now it's a real beater, may as well sell it for scrap!
