I used a hitch lock from this company on my first gen and it married my first gen key, it also works with all tacoma keys after it married my 1st gen taco key (my 2nd gen key works to unlock it also) :|

I think "5 stars" and hundreds of reviews speaks for itself

    ... disagree.

Your products are incredibly underwhelming in materials, design, and use. Fortunately others are easily amused, and they're cheap to produce.

Just wondering what item you purchased that was underwhelming? Could have been a bad batch? I havent had any issues with the dividers, its plastic, feels pretty sturdy for my items and didnt break so not much to go wrong.

Eh. Not a bad batch. Center console and glove compartment set, when these were only sold on TW.

Not here to piss in his Cheerio's for a day job, but I wanted to chime in against that idea. It's not a high quality product, and it's not supposed to be by design.

I'd just rather suggest that money be spent elsewhere, unless it's not really that important.

Also, my review is as important as any of the ones he would rather advertise, so I'm not impressed (or surprised by) his ignoring mine and suggesting others read elsewhere.

    Solid pass.

Gotcha Thanks! I guess for me, My frontier had a similar sized compartment in the center and all my cords, pens, coin holder etc was all over the place and hard to access, but the divider cleaned it all up. Not a heavy duty use, but since I plan to keep this baby for the long haul, I figured the 24 bucks for the set was worth it to me for the convenience. Everyone has an opinion so its good to hear comments from others, whether positive or negative as well.

With minor improvements it could be a far better product.

The design was meant to be cheaply manufacturered (end user assembly), cheaply shipped (parts lie flat, small package with lightweight material), and that's great. Except the end product suffers, IMO.

Price point is fairly low, so I wasn't expecting the world, but the design isn't special and the materials aren't the best choice for it, also IMO. A little extra investment in the manufacturing side would do a lot, but it also erodes the built in cost savings from that same manufacturing side.

It's easily made at home with your material of choice. Groove cut, friction fit.. it can't be made easier. I'm curious how the knock off product compares.

I would be willing to bet there's no sacrifices made there.

I agree that if it had been ridgid, it would have been alot sturdier. It also does move around in the compartment but for the price, It is, what it is. I wouldnt want a ultra heavy duty plastic then be charged $50 for it, so for now, it fits my needs. I dont think it would fit under the lip if it was ridgid though....

I thought it might be helpful to provide some facts to clear the air. The discussion is a bit of an "apples to oranges" comparison reading through it. As well as Gen 2 to Gen 3 products.

Salex Organizers got started on TW with an idea and members supporting the idea. In the early days when the product was first being produced it was CNC cut from HDPE plastic. It was the starting point to get the product out. It served it's purpose and satisfied a lot of customers. The thread is still on TW today.

The plastic used today is ABS. All Tacoma (Gen2 and Gen3) products, grids, glove box organizer, and trays, are injection molded for a perfect fit and finish. Grids are flat and rigid now due to the ABS material. The glove box organizer is a dovetail snap fit assembly for rigidity and simple assembly. The trays, Gen2 and Gen3, are molded ABS with molded diamond plate no slip rubber liners.

I think most of us would agree that products evolve over time. Salex Organizers has taken the feedback, improved the product, and become the mark that the competition is shooting for.

Hopefully I have provided some detail to let everyone make the decision that is right for them.

Definitely get the center console organizer, that's one of the first things I bought for my truck and it's awesome for my OCD brain. Also I'd get an interior LED lighting kit which is usually around $10-20. Gives the truck a "classier" look.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into it. Sadly, I'll be deployed for the next few months and then I'll be in Korea for a year so I don't get much use out of it for a while.

Yuck, I'm glad that I'm closer to the balls is the spear than the tip. But I know when I was in Iraq I would have loved a hammock.
