Yea, if any trim levels should have been added it should have been keeping the 2.7 motor in a 5 lug grandpa short bed 2wd city truck like phased out in 2015… the new stout won’t be on a frame…basically a rav 4 with a open 4 foot bed.

Yep but the Pre-Runner replaces the Off Road 4x2 and the Trail Hunter replaces the Trail Edition so no net gain.

Well it goes to show that older models still hold their value. Could be a ton of reasons overall. Prices sure don't help. Got my truck during covid and it got delayed a couple times when they were assembling it.

Broncos are sitting at dealers, and I just checked Q1 sales are behind both Wrangler and 4Runner.

Well my 2014 4 runner is about due for a change, i want to get back into a tacoma, im on fence with the 2024/ 2023 its like everything im reading on here on the 2024 is negative….im old enough to be happy with a dependable new truck and it will be a toyota, i dont go nuts with add ons never have, so we will see like all vehicles the first release hype, the “gotta haves”. It all calms and dealers will be “out of the vapor and wake up…. But i wont spend extra just to have the latest and newest, 6/7 months things will calm down ,i may even wait for 2025. With hopes of a new color dark evergreen, spruce green lol

I would say almost every negative thing on this forum is from someone that does not own a 4g. There have been a small number of issues that should be expected with any vehicle. The excessive number of posts about price are based on the extremes in prices from around the country. You can find discounts on base models with few to no add-ons if you take some time to search. Interest rates are on the low side of awful right now so waiting those out could save you some $$ depending on how you are paying. Looks like you are East Coast, if you don't want to bother with dealership BS, check out for an instant discount.

23 TRD Pro in Canada $64,999 24 TRD Pro I am guessing $75-78 as the new Ranger Raptor is $81 Canadian FML I shouldn't have traded in my 18 Pro a few months ago I regret it already....That's why I haven't been on here to much recently.

Price is probably way too high on the Broncos too.

Isn't the front locker and the lift in the bison package? If so, that adds just under $12k to the price tag.

    Like, so many.
I am 100% going to be cross shopping this when it's time for a new truck. I always assumed I'd just get a new Tacoma, but that's not a certainty at this point.

Ah, good point. I would love to see a Pre-runner single cab. I think Toyota got rid of the single cab for 2015, I think.

The pricing effect is what happened with movie theaters in the early 2000's. They raised prices and sold less tickets. But at the end of the day, they raised the bottom line. Even though Toyota sales have dropped a good amount, I'm sure the fat cat executives are feeling pretty good about that all-holy bottom line.

I mean, some suckers are spending 50k to 60k on a Tacoma, which is simply ridiculous.

I paid MSRP on my Pro and the dealership I went through let me select all the options so there was no accessory bloat. For a Pro at the end of 2022 that was a good deal, and I'm nowhere near underwater on it.
