The typical Taco buyer is dumber than a bag of rocks when it comes to negotiating and buying decisions...

It would be ok if everyone's pay, savings accounts, 401k, etc. increased at the same or greater rate.

Exactly, that's why the inflation calculator stuff is pretty much nonsense.

i purchased an OR as well in 2016 and what more options did you need? it does everything from getting you from point A to point B on pavement to doing the same thing off road and it made sense. Typically paying for fluff is a way to extract customer from their money in the most agressive way possible.

its not about whether or not you can afford something.
if you are shopping and their is a $5 dollar gallon of milk and a few spots down a 100$ gallon of milk even if you make one million dollars ... sure you can buy but does it make sense

What I don't understand is that there are no SR5 XtraCab 4WD models within 250 miles of me... What's up with that?
I have zero interest in a 4-door pickup.

Out of curiosity I did the math and make 48% more now than in 2016 so I guess I'm doing alright in regards to a 30% Tacoma price increase.

I meant to say they took away things that came standard on 3G TRD models.

Fuck current Toyota USA. They moved their production to Mexico to save money, yet charge premium for their off road trucks that don’t even come with a full size spare. What a joke. They lost me as a new truck/SUV buyer. They advertised TRD pro having 3” wider stance. That’s achieved by wheel offset, suspension travel is same an SR. Pathetic.

Hood insulation is extra, power sliding rear window is extra. There is a bunch of other little stuff that I forgot. I’m sure @shakerhood can remind us :)

But if everything goes up at the same rate or faster does that really matter? if you make more but all the products you buy cost more as well then?

It's all bullshit in the end. My great grand parents only made $100/month but a loaf of bread only cost $0.10 and a house $3500. Things get expensive, paychecks go up, things get expensive, paychecks go up, etc...

So you are perfectly happy with gas, automobile, food, insurance, etc. prices ? I’m not.

Not at all. I'd much rather things were the same price as in 2016 because the money I make now would go so much farther. At the end of the day I get paid more but don't keep an appreciable amount more money in my pocket because the cost of the same goods I used to buy are also more.

If I was in market for a new truck and the new frontier was offered with MT, that’s what I would be driving. Good ol VQ v6 and MSRP is way less then 4G

Toyota used to offer affordable, reliable and simple trucks. Not anymore.

    It really is man.

Body on frame Nissans are solid. I would never buy a sedan or an SUV from them though.

    Rear power sliding window
    Full size spare
Truck comes with only 6 gal of gas
Hood insulation only on premium trims

There are a couple more items that I can’t remember. I’ll try to find it on here.
