It goes well enough Carl. Just checked Copper River sonar counts ... only two days above 20K fish so far, but it's trending in the right direction ... at this rate we're about two weeks from going.

Supposed to / storm here most of the week No stump burning until it dries out Had a good fire going last night when a storm blew through and put my fire out Oh, well.... I can at least cover it today, so it doesn't get any wetter.

 

Thought about that also, but keep thinking about the night I went into the river backwards with a clamp on seat that wasn't secured , also don't know if I could have got the seat far enough towards the front of the bench in order to clear the tiller, plus it only sticks up about 1/4" which is something else I took into consideration.
This way I can also move the seat with the pin base on it back to the center position and be able to run a transom mounted trolling motor, jets don't troll too well.
I only did what Tracker should have done!

 

Apparently this year we skipped spring and went right to 80* blue skies and friendly clouds.
My grass is already underwatered and drying out, but this sandy soil...and calling it soil is generous...is murder on grasses. Except where you don't want it to grow.
Fishing day tomorrow, maybe I can catch the second-stupidest fish in the lake, #1 got caught last week.

 

If I could, I would gladly send you some of our rain. It's been raining so much, I started talking with a British accent. Good luck with fishing Joe.

 

Just watch if you say, "hey Yank, how about a fag", that might get you in trouble nowdays! Heard that more than once!
OH, and please don't start driving on the wrong side of the road!

Evening all:
I saw that article Ken, amazing what some "evasive" fish can be caught on.
Years ago a buddy and I ran out of bait but had a McDonalds Rodeo Burger that he was going to eat later on. We started catching channel catfish on pieces of it that we used for bait!
I can see it all now, there will be a big hook through the center of a chicken nugget with legs sticking out of the rear of the nugget, and there will be an unexplained shortage of chicken nuggets in Maine!
