Smoke is affecting the sun this AM, gets a little yellowish tint.
Picked my first peas from the garden today, tassels not showing on the corn yet, looks like a few of my earlier pumpkins have set some fruit. Ate some small carrots the last day or two, I usually pass on them so they never get eaten. Will try again this year to eat them thru the summer to cut down on the amount.

I'm doing good Mike. Drove for the dealership for 8 hours yesterday. Great job for a retiree. Gets me out of the house and gives me some pocket money to boot. Best part is it isn't an everyday job and I get to drive mostly brand new cars:thumbsup:. Hope you have good weather so you can enjoy your weekend.

Enjoy the fishing Mike. It's good for relaxing after a day at work. Hope the weather is good for your fishing day. Although the old saying: "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work" is always on my mind. Enjoy.

I'll make you a deal. Just send me back half of the $225 that I sent you via Western Union. You did pick it up, right?

Spent the day yesterday doing "truck stuff"....Changing oil, rotating tires, cleaning, re-packing recovery bag/tool box, etc...Getting ready for the next off road adventure. Going on a short trip for the birthday weekend. Gonna turn 60 surrounded by trees! 50's have been kinda rough on me. Hoping this next 10 won't be so harsh.

    Oh well.

@ work this morning. 3 days then a couple vacation days, then back @ it on Friday.

Gets a little tougher each year. I'm finding mental challenges, but there is always tomorrow. No close family, so watch my lantern and stove collection, work with the pup. Need to find more activities to do instead of buying more stoves off of ebay and wait to see if I won or for won items to show up. Hate the cost of a fishing license. A couple group camping trips coming up, one less than an hour from home with other Coleman collectors, one in Oregon in a month with stovies.
Got this AGM 6202 going and partially painted. Ordered a key part I hope fits as the generator tip plugs with crud from a dirty inside and the cleaning needle tip is broken/rusted off.

I have used a Coleman 425 for about 40 years now. Recently I was given another 425, that probably dates to the 50's or early 60's, but it needs some work. What is the best source for parts for these old stoves?

I think we can all stop trying to get Duane to share his soon-to-be fortune now. We have a winner!

Check out Old Coleman Parts. Fast, same day shipping. I've ordered on Friday, had them in hand on Monday, here on the left coast. Not the easiest to negotiate the site, but so many parts. Mike is also the owner of Coleman Collectors Forum.

That wildland fire east of me is over 80,000 acres burned, 40% contained. Couple hour drive from me. California along with the rest of the West is on fire.

There was a huge wildfire in Tennessee back in the 1980's. The fire was raging 700 miles or so away from where I live but we could still see and smell the smoke in the air. It's one of those things that humbles a person pretty quick.

    Morning all:

    Nice car Tom!

Just when I thought it couldn't get much worse!
Went up to the river yesterday, jet wouldn't work properly then not at all, seemed like it wasn't getting fuel. Then the trolling motor plug didn't seem to be making contact and I had to wiggle it and keep messing with it to get it to run, then coming into the launch I broke the prop on the trolling motor! :frusty:
Found out that the fuel pickup tube in the fuel tank came off, fixed that, then took both plugs apart for the TM and revamped them, seemed to have fixed whatever was going on there, then put a new TM prop on that I had as a spare, should be good to go now, at least for awhile!
    And---no walleyes! :annoyed:

    Ken, you too Carl.

Doing okay I guess. Got a mild case of the summer doldrums from this sticky weather and it looks like we have a few more days of it at least. Still have some wood to split from the huge oak we had cut back in December, but it seems like every weekend lately has some kind of event that makes renting the splitter a waste of time/money. All small stuff in the grand scheme.

    How about you?

Doing good Thanks. Driving occasionally for the dealership and keeping busy staying out of trouble with the missus (that's a full time job). We are heading upstate for the weekend to do some much needed work on the old place and hopefully get at least one day to relax. Son and daughter-in-law are coming up as well so we will try heading to the drive ins to see a movie or two.

Hi Carl, sounds like you couldn't win yesterday with the boat and fishing:eek:. Hopefully things will get better fishing. They gotta be biting soon.

    Have a good day gents.
