Good morning all. It has been a very productive morning for me so far.
Talked to the IRS about tax implications for my son's benefit and filled out a tax withholding for my benefit.

Finally winterized the pond. Disconnected and cleaned out the main filter and made it ready for the winter. I installed the submergible filter in the pond and hooked it up to the pump. Installed the disc heater and the aerator to keep the oxygen level at a decent level for the fish.

In the spring I will need to do a major overhaul of the plumbing and under the liner but right now I am good to go.

I marinated the chicken for Friday night's dinner and it is in the fridge.

Having lunch then a shower and I will catch a movie this afternoon. Plan to see the new MI flick.

Nothing major or fancy. Just stuff to make it work better for me. Running boards, seat covers, BakFlip
I haven't been on here too much lately. As part of this "semi-retired" thing I'm selling my place in the flatlands and moving everything to the mountain house. I'm narrowing my work area down and just don't need two houses and two shops anymore.

Now I just have to figure out where to put all this stuff. Thirty years of being a pack-rat is finally catching up with me. Good thing that scrap metal prices are high. I took a load of old chokers, worn out chains, bent bars, Cat parts, and some stuff I couldn't identify to the recycle place and made enough money to buy gas for the trip home. :)

One thing I know for sure...I am never, ever, moving again.

morning all: neat pic. jim. glad someone ealse posted it. I'd never have got it.
here's my back, everyome ealses brain garage I built. 32X48. subed some work out, like the concrete, doors, and roof, I did all the woodwork, including making headers and using rafters-not trusses.
started this project by cutting 90 large white pines down, and still not done, but it's usable. maby will never get it totally done. there is a massive amount of labor involved so far, and still more to do.:ohsnap:

morning all: all the best to you'r buddy jim.
water in basement last night. found a pinhole in a pipe, so first thing this morning had to do a repair. neverending!:annoyed:the bright side is - I can fix it, probablly would have cost $80-$100 for a plumber to fix it. same with garage. have over 30k in it. was told that to have it buit would have been around $60k. that's why most people are putting up pole buildings; much cheaper.

Was the pinhole a result of the recent cold snap? Just curious ...

And I like the look of your garage, Good Job! :)

EDIT: Reminds me of the kind of stuff my Father in Law builds in Iowa. Seems Every time we go back he's built another garage or shed.
