If the Taco isn't the magnet, try towing something that is... always end up giving tours and the usual comment when a couple leave is the woman saying 'not going to sleep on the ground again'

Sounds like the rural area West of where I live.

    Edit

Should have included the quote about Rebel flags and raised pickups.

Very nice but I would need to unhook and walk in...

If I was alone then I'd be all over something like that. They are way cool.
Easy to tow, park, heat, cool. The only issue would be the boat I would have to bring with me. Would have to get a unit to help with that.

They make a nice 'standy' but I don't like cooking inside and the only clam-shell with a kitchen outside that they make has a layout that I don't like. Now if they offered a clam-shell in the off road version, I'd trade mine in.....

Someone already thought of the 'need a boat too' solution

Thanks Carl ... I'm not gonna run the price per pound on it; charters up here are getting really expensive...mainly because of fuel costs. 2 to 3 hr run out to where they catch the big halibut, and we didn't catch halibut anything bigger than what we can catch from the Zodiac launching off the beach at Whiskey Gulch...matter of fact, I didn't go this year because I decided to visit Kristi and the kids in PHX instead, but Matt caught this one this year:

He told me the weather was crappy, but the fishing was pretty good ... yeah, I think so. :)

Nice little rig there, I always liked that clamshell design.

... and I really like your TW handle, very creative.

This is the new video for the offroad/outback version. Ours is a 2015 Max which has a queen bed. Almost all the changes Mandy talks about are things we did two years ago... I also added a propane powered generator, 4 6v batteries, a battery switch/cut off, solar connection for my portable panel (camp in the shade and the roof mounted is useless ) on the hitch, moved the spare from underneath to a tongue mounted bracket. The dry/DMV weight is 870 pounds, loaded about 1100. There are tent connections on each door for a 10x10 or 5x7 tent. The large one can't be put up by one person or by a married couple... The smaller one is a beautiful design, takes 10 minutes by yourself, good for changing, portapottie. has a custom fit rug to catch all the dirt before you go inside. I'll post some of our adventures and setups later, got to do dishes...
The T@B they talk about is a stand up, with potty/shower/ gray/black water tank, frig/freezer/ hot water and a heater BUT you cook inside except for one model and the 'outback' version has the kitchen inside but lots of attachments on the back end.

Wild fire about a mile from town, 1800 personnel on it. Lots of smoke, I'm around 5 to 6 miles away it looks like as the crow flies. No danger for me, wind if any blows to the east. Containment around August 12 I believe it said.
Check out inciweb, California, Minerva fire. On my tablet, it doesnt do links. Also, Plumas online news.
Campout with the Coleman Collectors went well, obtained a rare Coleman model #1 stove for cheap.
Mutt is 52 pounds. Is that right?

    Afternoon all:
Stay safe Duane, hope that fire stays well away from you.

Come on up Tom, we'll take a trip out to Corvette Carlisle and find one for you, 125k should get you a pretty nice one!
OOPS, didn't mean to rub salt in the wound!!!:D
I saw a few of them around back in the day, would bet that most guys that had them would love to have them back.
My one buddy still has his original 65 fuelie that he bought new>$$$$$$, another guy had a 65 425 hp 396 that is long gone, don't hear too many people talk about them and they were only available for 1 year and then were replaced with the L-72 in 66. Couple others around the area also, but not too many, and usually by the 3rd owner they were on the way to the scrap yard in pieces!
Thanks for the pic., with the side pipes that must have sounded sweet and been a fun driver.

    Evening all:
    This ones for Mike!
Frame swap that went bad at a dealer! Wonder if the mechanic still has his job?
The article says the dealership did offer the owner a brand new replacement!

    Sunflowers are coming on now.
Smoke in the area still from the fire, 30% contained, over 1,000 acres. Town isn't in much danger.

Can't see the turnips, greens to the left and behind on the right are lettuces, potatoes, carrots. Peas got pulled yesterday, they are done now. Pumpkins, squash over running the tomatoes and half the garden now. Green beans hanging out between the tomatoes and corn. Tobacco, ornamental okra. Have to watch my step, pup took out four small sunflowers last week running around. Someone got him going.
