    Evening all:
Awesome Dave, somewhat resembles a Shelby Daytona Coupe, wonder if that's what the designers had in mind.

It's a BMW Z4. It's very aerodynamic, and the engine is in the front, so it does have a lot in common with the Daytona Coupes. Not as powerful, or historic, or expensive though!

The Z4 was originally designed as a roadster only. The coupe came in 2006, 3 years into the lifecycle. It was a big hit with the automotive press but sold poorly at the dealers. Many were sold at substantial discounts just to move them off the lots. But the design seems to have legs. At least I hope so. :) And the coupe has incredible chassis rigidity -- the car was originally a roadster, and was designed to be stiff enough in that configuration, so adding a roof put the chassis rigidity in supercar territory. Great handling car.

The coupes are awesome - I love the look of them. The Z3 coupes earned the nickname Hi-top Sneakers based on the design. Enjoy!!!!

Err, I hear them called clown shoes :) Just like the roadsters they have a fervent following. All of the Z3 folks I have ever met have been super friendly. Z4 too, although I've met a ton more Z3 folks. Those are popular cars!

Nice posts and pictures over the last few days - fishing and CATCHING, cars, campers, canines and a completely awesome garden. Thanks folks, I've really enjoyed these.

We just returned from our grand daughter's inaugural trip to Portsmouth Island (Cape Lookout National Seashore; My first trip was in the mid sixties). As expected. she had a ball as did her grandmother and me.

The Park Service has about twenty rustic cabins on the south end. Other than these, there's no other development or amenities on the twenty mile long island.

To get in a shameless Tacoma plug, I did pull out two other vehicles who managed to get stuck between the ferry landing and the cabins. No pictures however - the owners were sufficiently embarrassed without photographic proof. One had a two wheel drive and the second forgot to air down.

Sand will get you. I was stuck and kept getting stuck in my fiberglass body dune buggy years ago, finally remembered to air down, end of problem. Went back later and crawled all over this small sand dune, climbing and turning uphill. Lots of fun in a small area. Lived in Hawthorne, NV at the time, worlds largest ammo depot.

Never found any arrowheads here, just in Nevada where I lived back in the late 70s.
