I haven't seen anything from him either. Maybe he just hit overload on FB, too. I think I'll drop him a PM and see if he responds.

Doing well, missing Kristi, but keeping busy. Things are going well in our son's favor in Phoenix.

Spent the day with my folks. Took my mom to a doctor's appointment. Got another finger wagged at me "you need to be more involved!" Second time this week. I *thought* my sister and I were doing pretty well at being involved but apparently it's time to step it up.

Dang. When they said "getting old ain't for sissies" I said "you bet!" and I thought I understood. But today I think I might have had a revelation -- I'm 64, but I'm still not at the "ain't for sissies" part. Talk to me when I'm 90!

    Evening all:

Good to hear your mom is doing OK Dave.

Sounds like an enjoyable vacation Ken, waiting for the pics.!

Evening Sue ; sure hope Jim is OK also.

Went up to see my old buddy that had the stroke this afternoon, he was walking, seemed to be alert, and could use both his hands, hopefully he will be OK and things get back to normal for him shortly.

    X2 .

Hope all gets settled soon Rob. Glad to hear it's going well in your sons favor. After it's all over you and Kristi will need a nice vacation(just the two of you) to relax and enjoy some together time.

I understand where you are at Dave. I was in the same situation with the wife's parents. Hopefully I'll be waiting for you when your 90(I'll be 95) to talk about "getting old ain't for sissies":D

Should have some pictures by the weekend Carl. So glad to hear your buddies getting along very well. More prayers:pray: and good thoughts for his continued recovery.

Harvey is really causing much damage and death and now they are predicting Irma to form into a hurricane by weeks end. Prayers that Irma (if she forms into a hurricane) doesn't head into the gulf or fizzles out before land fall. Have a good day all.

Last thing that Texas and Louisiana need right now is to get hit by another hurricane! :( :fingerscrossed:

Please don't say "hit the east coast"! Doesn't look like it's moving much. It might lose strength and fizzle out, they do that sometimes.

EDIT: Those "M" circles indicate >110mph wind speeds. So much for fizzling out.

Banged my head on the truck, in the hospital for a week and currently this last week in a nursing home. Needed the blood drained from my skull. About 40 staples in it. Miss the pup, neighbor is caring for for.

Opened the back door to load my truck for a camping trip to Oregon, not paying enough attention. Two days in a row. Managed to make it home after camping, friends called the Sheriffs office for a welfare check, went by helicopter to Reno, Nevada. Worked on me the same night. Just had the staples pulled.
