Got it right behind the house, came sneaking through just before dark, need to go get it now it's only about a 80yd drag to the back of the yard.
Of course it' now completely dark, hate gutting one in the dark.

Hello all -- I think I have been here before Maybe? I am definitely "qualified" to be here as I am not too far from the next step up. I saw a couple of names I recognize from looking back a few pages. Feel free to check my posts out -- I tend to be stubborn in my beliefs and happy in my present state of life. I am a USAF vet of the Viet nam era with 30+ combat missions to my credit --even though it nowhere states this on my dd214. I was a AMT on RC135's. (we weren't really there according to DOD) You friends can look this up if you want to know more -- or I would tell you if you want -- married (same fine lady) almost a half century --3 kiddos 9 g-kids.
I will watch this thread more -- I promise --even if in the eves when I ain't doin something around the house --I am a huge DIY-er

Thanks all -- today --washing windows.
I was at Kadena 1970-71. We our 20 hr missions out of there down to 2 different placse -- keep in mind we only had 6 planes to fly two - 19-20 hour missions each day (our ground maint. guys were miracle workers). The same 6 RC-135M's ( renamed RC-135W's) are still flying today (131,132,134,135, 138, and 139) I think it is 132 that holds the most hours flying time for any "135" airframe.
We were on station (suckin it all in) for 12 hours -- got gas (in the air) once each mission. WE had the same track each time, either over the Gulf of Tonkin off of Hanoi, or over northern Laos on the eastern side of Hanoi and the Ho chi minh trail. If you check some web sites they will tell you we did not fly the Laos track till 1973 ???? I can't believe they still deny were doing that mission then-- even this many years later. That track I DID not like as well as the gulf one as it was a little bit comforting to look out (down) and always find 1 or 2 Navy carriers. Both missions we always had 2 fighters close if need be. we got chased away by Migs once in while -- but not too often, as they caught on quickly what was waiting- if they came up there. We would high-tail it south if they so much as started up their little migs. WE knew whenever each and every Air Traffic Controller took a pee/crap break (to say nothing of how many of each and every model plane at that base on any given day) at every single North Viet mam base --I shit thee not!! we had 20 some Security Service linguists/morse code guys/ listenening/recording everything they did up there in the North. My job was to try to keep the recording/listenening stuff all working for the mission --plus fix it on the ground as well.
It was a great job -- I wanted to re-up -- Boss did not like the AF life -- we got out -- I turned down a bonus of 13k tax free dollars in 1971.
I did use the great Air Force Electronics training (almost 2 yrs) the rest of my life.
This is one of the 6 we flew on out of Kadena Okinawa (135).
They (the 6) have had lots of mods done over the years --including new/bigger engines.
