    Evening all:
He is better with a flintlock than I am, I'm iffy, usually if he has one in the sights he will get it.
Last year the flint fell out, this year he forgot to take the cover off, he's a mess in his old age!
He did a lot of the driving so far this year, we consider a drive when someone still hunts toward a stander, figured it was time to give him a break. Normally he/we can catch deer standing, but it's too noisy walking and there are coyotes and a bobcat in the area, the deer are really on high alert for anything that moves!

The comment about him driving the rest of the season was tongue in cheek.

Morning Tom, Just started snowing heavier and wind picking up. They are calling for 2 - 4 inches before it's over. Not bad at all, but roads are icy and people don't know how to drive on them:facepalm:. Be safe if you have to go out.
For all of the New Englanders, hope you don't get the brunt of the storm and most importantly, be safe.

    Morning all:
Just looking at your pond makes me cold Tom!
Took a break today from hunting, my buddy said he was going out, so far only a light dusting here, a comfy. 23deg., and no wind, I think that will change later on today.

That has changed already, getting windy and snow is blowing around, hope my buddy is having fun, I'm nice and warm!
NBD to hunt in weather like this with a rifle, hunting with a flintlock is a totally different ballgame.

Good morning Carl and Ken. I am at home making bean soup today. No plans to go out at this time. Wind is whipping around pretty briskly.

    Happy 2018 to everyone.

Looking at the weather maps and the isobars, I have to believe you folks in the Northeast are having some serious winds. Anyone from that area want to keep us informed?

Tex (who had 14 degrees F the other night). That's cold for us.

We had light snow all day - really not much more than an inch of accumulation...but the winds are picking up now. I'll head out soon to clear the driveways and walks before it gets too bad.

Fellow Oldtimers ;) I have an older Jeep XJ without TPMS and my Tacoma and F250's TPMS just warn if low not pressure. It's on constant when aired down so would not warn of flat or broken bead. I'm thinking of buying a set of these for the Jeep. Than if heading out on trip in either truck I could use these too. Does anyone have any experience with these or like items? Any input appreciated. Posted here as probably won't get any BS for posting a dumb question ;) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LZME9Q2?ref_=pfb_e6699bjlkfd0hhe11j2464h7c4e1

We use similar on the race car trailer.
The only issue you may have is ripping one off while off-roading.
Anything sticking out is poss issue.
I’m sure if your aired down you will know real quick if you break a bead.
Not sure what you are trying to do but your half flat already...lol

We got about 3" here. My coworkers in NJ were looking at a foot or more, with high winds and drifting. One guy said the drift beside his car was up to the windows. At 10am this morning!

I just went out and moved some of it around. It's very dense stuff.

I'm just sitting around enjoying all those people who never see snow complain! :annoyed: Listened to a radio station this AM and the DJ telling a story how he had to take the train to work today because of the "Terrible Traffic" and snow on the Interstate. He then told us all they got 1/4 inch of snow where ever it was he lives!:rofl::rofl:
