    :wave:Good morning folks!

Just passing through...like normal my night shift sleeping cycle has me wide awake in the middle of the night on my days off again. You east coast folks give me someone to talk too!

Tom, Very nice shed! I need one for the trash bins/recycling ... and maybe a little side stall for the snowblower? Great..another thing for the Summer to do list. Outdoor projects are a no-go when it's -9F. Might have to hit you up for the plans this Spring.

Ken, Hope the new *@#$ goes smooth for you! :) You've have me thinking too ... I've got one retirement in the bank; working on the second ... guess maybe it never ends??? :(

Have a great day all! :D

Tom - great work on the shed!! Wow!!

Ken - take it slow. Don't overdo on that first day back to work!!!

Rob - good to see you here. Continued good thoughts going your way!

A day off for me - which means I have the day to work on my dissertation proposal. Today's goal is to complete the edits from my chairperson and get the document out to the rest of the committee. Seems like 3 hours of work or so. Not bad.

Another cold morning here in Northeast PA -about 4 deg F. No wind though so it's not too bad.

morning all: received the carb. I ordered from E-bay, damaged
this isn't first item I've received that's been damaged by UPS. hopefully I can get it straightened out. carb. is really nice, and want to keep it. just need a fuel bowl, and the throttle lever tacked back on. this had to really get wacked to bend the metal the way it did.
    WHY ME ? :annoyed:

Carl ... Hope you can get the parts to piece the carb back together. Did it have any cushioning at all? Sounds like it took one heck of hit/drop. :(

Mark ... best of luck with the interview.

It's cold again ... just got back in off the flight line. Went out to validate load plans to transfer cargo from another broke @$$ C5 onto two C17s. Got shanghai'd into helping with the download ... pushing rolling stock (acft engines and shtuff) in -17F (ECT -30 w/ wind) is no fun.

    ....need coffee! ;)

Have a great day folks! :)

I always hesitated buying from E-bay because of that reason...Good evening Carl

Hi Rob...sounds more like a thermos of coffee weather...Back in my day in the service I was on a flight in a P2E with no heat in January up off the coast of Maine looking for a ship and no hot anything...I feel your pain:(...Ken

    :spy: evening Gentlemen....

Sorry 'bout the carburetor Carl. Hope it was packed properly and the insurance helps out.

Moose, you can have your flightline. I did my time in Fairbanks many years ago. BRRRRRRRRR sorry but 50 - 60* BELOW zero is not fit weather for any human being.

I don't think I could survive full time in Fairbanks. Oldest son went to school at UAF up there. When he was there, and we'd get one of these sub-zero cold snaps down here, I'd call him up just to ask how cold it was...always made me feel better.:) After a couple weeks, he'd answer the phone with something like, "It's -45F Dad, leave me alone!" Took his car up there Freshman year; came home for Christmas and decided to leave the car and ride back with a friend. He was staying in the dorms and said it was easier to pull on his Carhartts and walk to class then to get the car started and warmed up.;)
