    Morning all:
Right around now the river gets really good for night fishing walleye for a few weeks, it's fishable but still a little too high! Then in the late fall it gets good for a few weeks again, hate to miss either of those two prime times.
Yesterday I was out cleaning up and salvaging some of the bigger wood that my neighbor left laying from when he cut down the oaks, later on I felt like crap, think it was due to all the pollen that's around and feel much better today.
Was surveying the yard, still way too wet to mow the bottom half and starting to look more like a field!
Vehicles are a mess, didn't even pay to wash them with standing and running water everywhere, time to spruce them up too!

Good morning everyone, even that still working Sue! :) Rain today already, woodshed is full, firewood cut this season stacked, two trees that were felled have been quartered and/or split fuller, stacked. My neighbor bought the cedar, so that is split and stacked so I could measure it. Full cord, stove money! No camping this weekend, did that Wednesday night. Funny, very funny, walking home yesterday, we came around a blind curve in the FS road we were on and kicked up a two year old bear, Repo took off after it like it was a deer. I called him back after 15 seconds maybe. Scolded him, then started laughing. Bear was three times his size.

Never used a torque wrench for my plugs. Tighten enough to squeeze the washer on the plug.

I've got two from CAPRI TOOLS …. one 25-250 inch pounds and one 10-80 foot pounds. The latter is probably what you want/need. They seem to be very good quality. No issues thus far.

I think with the service interval for the plugs, will be more difficult to remove them than incorrect torque. :)

Be thankful we don't have to do points, condenser anymore on newer vehicles. A pita to get points on a distributor lobe to check the gap.

I have an INDESTRO torque wrench, just looked it up and they refer to it as an "ARTIFACT"!

I still need to do them on the 66, been doing that for over 50yrs.! I had a HEI in it for awhile when I had an L-88 in it, but when I went back to the L-72 I couldn't get the stock air cleaner to fit so I went back to the stock distributer. Could always convert the stock one over to electronic, but what fun would that be!

Seriously never trusted a torque wrench on plugs.
With the collapse gasket I need to feel it squish then my elbow clicks.
Never used one professionally on plugs.
Seen people swear by them. Fine.
So why did I helicoil a few from those people.
    Just saying....

Hi Y'all. agree with Mike @Tacoma Mike about the torque wrench. in my younger years, the rule was pull on the wrench till, yoir nose bled and it was torqued:D.That was pre aluminum head days. Now it's all about the touch. Anti seize is good for some items but not plugs. Hey Mike ever have an improperly installed plug heli coil mess up your day? Had one that caused the plug to bind up coming out. worked on it for an,hour trying to save the head. Some days it didn't pay to get out of bed:rofl:. All in the past now:D. Battery on the phone going dead. l8tr Gents.
