Hi Carl, we have a Petes car wash down here and if you look real close at the price list all the way down at the bottom in real small print they have a $3.00 wash:D. Nothing special, but for 3 bucks if I'm in the area I drop in and get a wash:thumbsup:. Well worth it. Our road upstate is tarred and stoned for a couple of hundred feet in front of the house, but the rest of the road is dirt and when dry- dusty:mudding:. Always have to hit the wash when we get home. We have a momma bear and her cub hanging around up there. I didn't see them but my DIL and son saw them crossing our road. Life is good up country.

For $3.00 I would never hand wash a car again. Even at the DIY washes it's like $6.00 and the hose attached to the brush scratches the fender on the DS.
There are a couple of automatic car washes in the area, usually around $8-10.

We have drive through car wash here with $3 car wash on Mondays and buy 1 get 1 free ($6) on Wednesdays. Bet you can guess which days wifey and I get a car wash.

You do have to do your own vacuuming with their hoses though.

I would not unroll my hose, use my water, and still have to use my vacuum to save $3.

VW had commercial on TV where the car is driven on the wet road and there is no water marks on the car. Last year when I was still trying to decide what car I wanted I went into the VW dealer and asked them how much was the car in the commercial that did not get wet. They were not amused.

All the manufactures have commercials where the car, or its image, is driven and it does not get wet or dirty. They like the CGI machines. Makes you wonder if they even use real people in the commercials.

Good morning to all! Hope all you old folk are still alive and kicking! Not a lot going on here.Grass growing, veggie garden is doing great this year.Lots of stuff doing great but perplexed on growing sugar baby watermelons.Been trying for 4 years now on the right combination of water, soil, and light. We suck on growing these babies. But everything else is doing great.
Wife and l have had a garden for a number of years in the ground. Our son,Mr greenjeans is a wiz at raised bed and totally organic gardening. He is in college learning to become a nutritionist,so he has shown us a better way to grow.Starting with the right soil, mixing in worm dirt and a combination of other soils to make it basically "super" charged.l was a non believer, but now see that there is a better way to grow. Here are a few pics from last weekend. There is tomato's (several kinds),cucumber, squash,
    zucchini,okra,banana peppers,cantaloupe,onions,and watermelon.

Got my buy 1 get 1 free car wash today for $6.

It is a drive through ( actually a roller on a chain pushes your back tire) with quality cloths not those nylon strings to scratch your paint and high pressure sprayers and blowers for rinsing and drying.
The DYI vacuums are very strong and all in all a good deal for $3 per vehicle.

There is a code on your receipt good for 7 days so both vehicles do not have to be done at one time. Or just get your truck washed a second time free.

    Morning all:
Darn, looking around for a cap for the truck. There are two advertised on CL for 2016+, one is super expensive, and the other one is priced right, both Leers, I don't think black would look that good on the truck or I would go after the one. It may not be the correct cap though, just advertised as a Tacoma cap that fits 2016-current, you would "THINK" the seller would list what it came off of such as EC, DC, SB, LB!
I'll look on CL for awhile, may get lucky, if not I need to bite the bullet and buy a new one.
:woot: Just put in-channel rain guards on the truck yesterday. I always like to have the window cracked a little and found them to be of benefit, they don't look bad either!
The seat covers are on their way also, darn, I had all this stuff on the other truck but nothing fits the new one! :(

I have an ARE cap on mine and find it really handy for transporting anything you want secure and stay dry.

I bought mine off of CL but had to drive all the way to Bowling Greem Kentucky to get it.

The fact that it color matched my truck and included a like new Bed Rug all for $700 made it worth the drive.

Toss up between ARE and Leer for me, both have their following. The ARE is a couple hundred bucks cheaper, and one ARE dealer is offering a sliding drop down window for the front at no cost. I had a Leer on the 09 and was well satisfied with it, will see!

You must be off today, certainly wouldn't be on TW while at work!
Yea, I have put them on every truck I have owned, found them to be a big plus overall.

Just don't give a rat's #$%@ about work at the moment. For some reason we are integrating our jobs, so what has worked the last 11 years is now no longer good enough.
