 Note to self, do not get a hernia!
Hope all heals up well and the discomfort doesn't last too long.

X2 Beginning to think my herniated disc was a cake walk compared to a hernia operation.

Yea I told my other half I thought they musta had a party with Brutus and the boys cause they were black and blue and swollen. She wouldn't help me with the bruising either. Would have killed me anyway.

Shhh, I don't want to "trigger" anyone....but this happened.

    CMMG Upper.jpg

My son and I both ordered M4 Carbine rifle kits from Palmetto State Armory for $299. The upper comes assembled with the lower parts kit - you need to purchase the lower receiver from a FFL dealer and assemble it. Start to finish was just under two hours.

Mark Jr's is on the top, mine on the bottom - I swapped out the butt stock grip and hand guard for different Magpul versions and both of us bought Magpul MBUS flip-up rear sights. We put about 90 rounds through each without any malfunctions.

My first AR 15 was a CMMG.

If I buy anything else on the MSR platform it will be .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor.

Changed spark plugs and air filter on my 4.0 yesterday. Hot as Hades working on it.

Note to self: schedule next change in spring or fall.

In my case "it will be there next year", only hope that I am still around to do it! Oh well, then it won't really matter, let the next guy do it! :D

I too am guilty as charged. Ask my friends that want telephone work completed, my trade, and see how long the wait time was. LOL

Tired of seeing hearing you guys fish stories, I found the gumption to wet a line on a five day backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevada, back home today. Made four casts the second day out, caught this guy on the third cast into a pool, new line did a rat's nest the fourth cast so put it away. Too lazy to cast a stick a few times with the new line to get it situated. Four lb. test. Had to go over a snowy pass the second day to where I fished the pool much lower down where we camped the second night, later in the trip with Repo pup, we came thru a meadow with loads of Shooting Stars, then later scared up a bear just before finding water with a campsite. Third day was rough, lost the trail numerous times.

I released the trout after a pic. The bear is a black bear, I mostly or only see these or blondish ones out west here. 6:30AM here right now, Repo is still on his bed inside. :) Finally warm enough here that have to open windows at night. Real smokey on the drive home yesterday from the fire in Yosemite.

Hi folks! We got back from Pittsburgh on Sunday; went out to see the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. It was HOT but fun. Last night I had an overnight maintenance that ran pretty long so I feel like a limp dishrag right about now.

Speaking of straws and camel's backs, my boss asked me to cancel my vacation and hang around for another maintenance that was scheduled for Thursday night. I said no, we had reservations and yada yada yada. Turns out he wasn't around either -- he went away on vacation himself! o_O As it turned out they rescheduled it, but not before I lugged all my work connectivity crap all the way to Pittsburgh.
