Back when I twisted wrenches it was 2x per year. Cars were made a lot more poorly back then and they needed two inspections to be safe! In my ever so humble opinion. :) The other thing it let us do is tell folks "you're going to need rear brakes next time" and what have you, which they can't do now because of the 1 year interval.

He got the Master boot, just not out of this thread. Wonder how he is doing? Been a long time since we've heard anything about him.....

Yea, hope Jim is OK and hunting lots of quail.
Just thinking, all Ken has to do is start the 70+ thread and you will be playing catch up again, then there's the 80+ thread, and MAYBE a 90+ one also!

That be a fact Mike, sure hope I don't fall out of a tree stand and meet my demise, could happen!
Yesterday two buck were out in the yard, one was a spike which isn't legal in PA, the other was a small short tined 6 pointer, I'll take it if the opportunity arises! :hungry:

Dryer crapped out on me this morning, with a wet load in the tumbler. Problem was the door switch. Rather than order on Amazon with a 5 day wait I picked it up at the last remaining appliance parts place near me. Cost was $25 rather than $6 on Amazon. At least I knew how to diagnose the problem and fix it myself. When you need the part fast price does not matter too much at all. ;)

Afternoon all you fine folks :hattip:

We would never kick you out Sue. You have been a part of this thread longer than some of the folks :D. Besides we like having a lady around to keep us in check:oops:...

Hoping Jim is okay. In the beginning he didn't think we'd get many over 60's in here. Shoulda bet him:cool:.

I think we have a few over 70(including me) in here and I think I'll wait until I hit 90 to start the next thread for you and I Carl:thumbsup:

Just don't do like the fella out in Oregon did and hang there for 2 days 30 feet in the air:facepalm:. Sen plenty of deer, but most of them road kill. Such a shame.

Glad you got it fixed Tom, I read that you need to watch some of the stuff from Amazonas it is a good price but poor quality and it cost more to ship it back then what you payed for it.

    Have a good weekend all.

Good afternoon all. I spent an aggravating day as Mr. Handyman. Forgot my reading glasses and had to install towel bars and t.p. holder. Those tiny allen screws are a pain with these "mature" eyes. I have to keep a pair in the truck!

I have something like 10 pairs of reading glasses stashed in various places around the house, in the car and the truck, a couple on my desk at work; just so I will always have a pair around.

Half the time I still can't find a pair when needed.:annoyed:

Today's project was cheap mini blinds. They're as scarce as hen's teeth at Lowe's. They are phasing out corded blinds for child safety reasons and barely have new stock of cordless vinyl ones. I found 1 box near home and had another store hold 7 more to finish the job. They are very simple to install with snap brackets. About $10 each.
