    Evening all:
Running all over the woods and not seeing deer, 6:15 there's a doe standing just off of the yard. I can use a bow, ML, and rifle right now for doe, strange that the same thing happened either last year or the year before and I gave them a pass. THEY'RE PUSHING IT, there went my fresh deer sausage! :( :hungry:

Hi, all. Now that we are getting older we all have health issues. Our good friend of 30 years celebrates his 89th birthday Saturday. Well, he had a major stroke Wednesday. His partner found him on the floor in the late afternoon. The poor man layed there for hours.
My wife and I went to see him in the hospital last night. What a shock. Please take care of your loved ones.

    Afternoon all:
That stinks, hope your friend can manage to pull through it, you didn't mention how severe it was. Just saw an old buddy of mine who had a stroke, luckily his was not that bad and he was talking about going out hunting with one of his grandchildren during regular deer season.
If that were to happen to me I could lay here for days, possibly weeks, guess when the mailbox got full someone would be alerted!

He is paralyzed and cannot speak. They also discovered lung cancer. Please pray, if so inclined, for Robert E. Lee Barker.

Prayers offered for Robert E. Lee Barker that the God of all mercies will provide for all his physical and spiritual needs.

Robert, he is very fortunate to have you as a true friend to be an advocate for him during this most difficult time.

Just saw the Mega Millions jackpot is around 1 billion dollars, THATS A LOT OF MONEY! Personally I would rather shoot a nice buck than win, but I bet Sue thinks differently, she would probably even quit her job that she likes so much!

So sorry to hear about your friend. for his recovery

:anonymous: I'd never tell.... Actually I'd keep it for awhile - long enough for everyone to forget about the anonymous winner - then would hit the eject button :D

Thoughts and wishes for your friend, Arbie. It is a harsh world sometimes.

Isn't $1 billion the minimum needed for retirement these days? o_O

When my aunt died a long time ago the family was arguing who was going to get what AT THE WAKE.
Poor woman want even in the ground. She was a sweetheart too.

My mother tells a story about the funeral of her mother's mother. Before it was even over, my mom's mom and her sister were racing back to the house to grab whatever possessions they thought they deserved. They stopped talking to one another that day and did not speak again until both were quite old and some relatives convinced them to both be at the same place at the same time. Even then it was a chilly discussion.

So naturally my mom is convinced that my sister and I are going to fight over her stuff. We're not, but we will never tell my mother that!

I missed the last shot, getting tickets today for this go-round. Fingers crossed! And toes. And eyes?

the odds of one ticket being the winning ticket are the same as they were before; they don't change. The odds of someone having the winning ticket get better as they sell more tickets. I have no idea how many they've sold but remember that just because the pot is big does not mean there are that many tickets. Those tickets you bought that didn't win don't count towards the next drawing, but they did add to the pot!

The way this is going, I have a better chance of hitting the lottery than getting a deer! I'm seeing deer with the bow, saw 5 again today, none even remotely in range though. Found some fresh scrapes today and saw a nice size hoof print, there may be a decent buck in the area we're hunting, now I just need to figure out how to ambush him.
