    I had my wife's 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander sport inspected yesterday...passed w/flying colors.
It better had because I did my own inspection on it before taking it in.
Not that my inspection means diddly squat:)

I live in a small county in Kalifornia, no inspections or smog checks. Smog checks only required when selling a vehicle.
Local state officials ignoring requirements to have water tested for contamination in the creek flowing thru my property. Another crazy law, no industry upstream of us to pollute. Anyone building out here in the woods have to have a road wide enough for fire equipment to access property.

    Evening all:
Oh boy, this might get interesting!
Not too long ago local police were involved in a high speed chase of a van containing suspects from FL who had stolen bank checks. One of the African American occupants was shot and died, now it has been determined that the shooting was accidental! I just heard from a good source that protesters from all over are planning on converging at the courthouse in Jim Thorpe Pa which is a small town, if any sizable amount of protesters show up there that place will be an absolute mess and local law enforcement will have their hands full.
Lots of small shops lining the main street with big glass windows and lots of goodies on the other side of them, can only hope things don't get out of control!

Yo! We already deleted one post that was against the CoC. We’d really rather not have to revisit the topic.

    Thanks.

    Morning all:
You missed 2 political cartoons that were a no no. I posted one that was in general, that got deleted which is OK, Fred posted one that targeted a specific group, that was not OK and he got a time out until the 30th.
If you read the rules posted by the mods, POLITICAL DISCUSSION is not permitted, ALSO - USE OF OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE is not permitted!
I find it strange that the use of the F word isn't considered offensive anymore, just saw a post where it's spelled out in full and apparently no foul!
Hummm, maybe vulgar but not offensive, sounds like a technicality!

Anyway, here's the plan of the day! Ordered 5 tubes of Lubriplate 630-2 grease and need to pick it up today. It's the grease recommended for he outboard jet by the manufacturer and nobody has it in stock. They also say any NLGI-2 grease will work, but recommend that particular one for whatever reason, now at least I have a supply of it that should last for quite awhile.

I was off snowless snow camping with Repo.
I also find it strange the "F" word is freely used in other areas and left. Did it get reported or did a moderator randomly check in on us older folks?

Mystery. The ghost swooped in and it was gone before I had a chance to see it.
I am surprised that the language is not offensive. But the F word does have an actual meaning. That meaning is not what they mean when it is used though.

HI all, I have been taking a break from TW because of some issues in my life but I have been trying to keep up with things. I had a post with a picture of a young kid with his hand on a Hooters girls breast with the c aption "Guess he won't be running for political office" removed because of the CofC. But when I saw 4x4runners (a moderator???)avatar I had to post a reply. I find his avatar both offensive and demeaning. Reading through many threads in TW the CoC is broken and the mods are members of the thread but nothing is said or done. What I am getting to is if you want to be a mod " Walk the line" ! Rules are written for a reason and should be followed by EVERYONE. Mods icluded. A good member of this thread was banned for life because he was tired of the two sided bullshit and voiced his opinions. Using a "religious" sentence...Let he who is free of sin cast the first stone. Enough said end of semi rant. It will be what it will be.

I steer far clear of most all of the BS on this forum. And there is plenty to steer clear of.

Not calling any foul on you for being smart and getting a bulk rate price break (at least I hope you got one). Just thought that I'd share what I read earlier this week. A good write-up on how to properly store your lube supplies. In it they were clear that grease should not be stored for more than two years. But, they were very un-clear of the specific as to why. Separation was mentioned in a different part of the same article, so maybe we can guess that's it? The article was put out by a synthetic oil / grease company.
Hope you don't see any complications. I have had many tubes in my garage for much longer than a puny 2 years -and- I have had many tubes let the oil leak out of suspension too. Not happy when that happens. Loss of product and gain of a lousy mess!

    I agree. But ...
I am not one that can say one way or the other well enough to have the mods listen to me. I am not a good writer or debater.
The owner of a restaurant can choose what he serves and who can serve it.
I have come to understand this forum is more like a business than a public service to me.
I ignore the ads, the bs, and the jackasses. None of my business.
I have to follow the rules, like at work, the boss does what he wants... Or I can move along. I did plenty of that.

I see that you have been a member a LOT longer than I have I respect that. This is just where I am at with it.

 Hope things are better Ken.

I have reported numerous posts for the picture or the content and nothing has been done. Other times things have been cleaned up. Seems to be hit or miss.

It is not what I consider appropriate for an avatar. I feel it is demeaning to the black folks. Look at it and tell me what it is supposed to be then I will tell you my first thought when I saw it.

Thanks Sue. Things are better but touch and go for a bit.

That's why Jim was banned because he butted heads with the mods about the two sided bullshit. Hope all is well with you and the girls.
P.S. welcome legally to the 60 thread....:)
