    Cool Old Dudes :)

    Noted, and thank you.

Tuesday, when the smoke was bad, I wanted to cut grass and clean up a tree branch broke off by high winds in backyard. Air quality warnings issued and limit outdoor activity. Kristi gave me the look going out the door and pretty much ordered me to wait a day. Don't know if my insurance is too low or what, but I obeyed...she's much wiser than I. ;) I'm lucky have her looking out for me I reckon. :)
    Attaboy!

    Have a great day all.

A Kalifornia Legislator has proposed a bill to stop students in grade school and Jr. High from being expelled for disruptive behavior. No mention of requiring Ebonics be taught also.

Send them to Marine Boot Camp regardless of age and see how fast they stop the disruptive behavior :).

I say don't expel, transfer to a JrROTC Academy for however many grades are required by law to be completed. I'd be willing to take a reasonable property tax hike for a program like that. I honestly believe it would cut down on crime and make communities safer.

    My 2¢ FWIW.

    Expelling kids.
I was a school bus driver a few years. A kid did something, and said some vile stuff, I reported it. The school asked me to rescind it. He had been threatened with expulsion, and if that happened, he would be back at the same middle school the next year. It was recommended that I do rescind it, so I did. He passed to the next school. I went on to other jobs.
A few years later that same kid saw me in a store, I think, and came up to me and made amends for his behavior and what he had said to me.
Who knows what the future holds.

I would not wish boot camp on anyone that does not volunteer for such. I do not believe in the draft, and thus stand my ground there.
Expel them, let the parents take care of them.

So I will share my stent story quickly.

I destroyed the meniscus in my left knee and when it swelled to twice the normal size, I visit the doc.
After the usual round of go get xrays, then go to specialist, MRI, schedule surgery.

Go to a pre surgery screening, I get notified that my ekg is " drastically different " than my.last one 7 yrs ago.

Finally find myself at a cardiologist who completes a nuclear stress test and a few other tests, he announced that I have had at least two heart attacks and I have a decreased heart capacity.

Then he suggested an angiogram, which revealed one artery 95% blocked. Stent placed right then.

All of this took over two months, ironically I feel worse than I did before my meniscus was injured.

Moral of the story, don't Jack up your knees.

    :D

All kidding aside, some of us are lucky that our bodies force us to a doctor....

I only feel worse because the BP meds seem to depress me. I am now on my 4th med, and the latest was lowered a few months ago.
I keep trying what they say, I give feedback, and my DR, a good one, keeps trying something different.
I am grateful, and do not wish to say this as a complaint.

    So true about the future.

I respect your opinion on the boot camp, but all kids are different. There was a family (single Mom ) with 2 boys where I used to live. Both were in trouble starting in Middle school. By the time they were in High School, the oldest brother was into petty crime and had a juvenile record until at age 17 when he was arrested for car theft and sent to jail because of his record. Fortunately his brother saw the light and graduated High School. Maybe if the older one had discipline from a boot camp (his Mom couldn't handle him) type environment he might not have ended up in jail. Like you said, Who knows what the future holds.

Parked in garage like always...so I'm going to assume no.

Mine is a 2015, died last year, zero warning.

Barely able to boost it to get it over to get a new one.

My 2015 original battery croaked about a month or so before my 36 month warranty expired. Dealer replaced it at no charge ( no pun intended :) ). I hope this one lasts longer.
