I then use the leaf picker-upper and then pile that for my compost bin. I add the chopped leaves as I add the kitchen scraps.

Oh boy, I have enough grass. I don't need jungle grass

That's cool...come spring time when it's time for the 1st cut it's just decomposed right into that part of the lawn.

    I will try that.
But, the last thing I want is my grass to grow any faster than it does already.

I don’t have any grass at all, but I do have tons (literally) of leaves, mostly oak leaves. Fortunately I also have a Stihl backpack blower and can blow them down the hill into the woods.

Up to a point, then you're just rolling them like a carpet. At least that is how my Silver Maple leaves are, the oak just flutter away.

Evening all :hattip:. Another beautiful day here in SE PA. I'll be glad when tomorrow comes, people have been knocking on my door drumming up votes for there candidates. I tell them to say good-bye because I don't need them soliciting votes. I should answer the door with the old hog leg in my hand :D and see how fast they leave.

Been using my woodstove for 5 or 6 weeks now, much frost on the pumpkin. Creek last weekend where we camped still had ice.

    Here's a story.

Been in this house 16 years or so, unrelated but we replaced the DW (again) around 5 years ago. Put a Bosch in. Or rather had Lowe's deliver and install. They put a junction box under and back (not important, they were following code, etc). Good DW. A few years ago...I dunno 3 or 4? Wife loses diamond wedding ring. She was very upset. I searched hard for the sucker. I went through ALL the trash, searched every possible place. I got her a better one.

FF to today. Crew stripping our kitchen for complete remodel. Guy finds diamond ring BEHIND the DW junction box. Amazing. I cannot get my mind around the physics that got it there............

I told the bloke he is is one honest guy. He said theft like that will for sure come back at you.

I have a couple Cottonwoods I want to fell, so first step for one was to take down this Alder which was in the way. Been dragging my feet, lots of work, gotta fell it along my dog pen fence and miss my TV dish. Perfect. Cottonwood is getting too sketchy to climb, so before it gets too far out of hand, needed to go. Will give my garden more sun after I take the Cottonwood down.
