I'm going to guess that it's nothing too serious. Have to go see a hand specialist this coming week. Received stiches, I really don't know how many and at the time I really didn't care.
Long story short. The sharp edge of a very heavy piece of metal fell on it. I don't think we need the gory story. All I'll say is that it freakin hurt!!!

Best wishes for the finger Harry. Like Rob said: "Hope you recover well and have nothing more permanent than a cool scar."
And I'll add: "and one helluva story ".

Morning Rob. How was the Thanksgiving?

Good as it could be...Kristi always has to work, start of "retail hell month."
But we drove out to Sheep Creek Lodge for their Thanksgiving buffet before she had to be at work. It was delicious and very nice; will likely become our Thanksgiving regular.
Best news we got is grandkids will be coming to stay with us over Christmas and New Years. :)

    Hope yours was enjoyable too.

    Ouch.....
After being attacked by a table saw, I learned the fingers have many, many nerve endings.

Prayers for a speedy and full recovery!

I was going to change the antifreeze in my truck, bought some extended life stuff from NAPA. Checked the owners manual for cooling system drain areas, come to find out Toyota puts extended life a-f in their vehicles. But do need to change it out next year, thought I was a couple years late to change it out, under 40,000 miles in a little under four years, so next year will be almost five years of trouble free service.
Snowed seven inches overnight, turned to rain as forecast, but not heavy at times as forecast.
The former contractor I had remodel my mobilehome didn't seal around the new windows. Have had two leak now when snow and ice overhang my roof. May need to remove the trim and seal/caulk/bithathane? around them. Going to destroy the cedar trim doing it. If I knock the overhanging ice/snow off, the leaking stops, so temporary fix. Just don't want the sheetrock to pucker up by the window leak.

Do any of you have a somewhat whole house electronics where you can check settings, configure temps, check the fridge etc. from work or ? ? That's gotta cost to convert all appliances.

Glad you had a chance to have dinner with Kristi before she had work. We had our Thanksgiving dinner on Friday night when the DIL got with us upstate. Nice weekend but weather turned bad for Sunday drive home. On the other hand Rob :woot::woot::woot::woot: for having the G-kids for Christmas to New Years. Best gift of the year.

Welcome to the thread Tommy. Enjoy the comraderie.

We have a few pods for controlling electrical devices plus a handful of smart switches. It’s handy to be able to set up a lighting regimen to make it look like we’re home when we’re not. The door openers on the garage are ”smart” too but I haven’t found that to be useful yet. The best thing about “smart” switches vs timers is that the “smart” stuff always knows what time it is.

I use an outlet attachment that has an analog timer on it. A lamp plugged into it goes on and off with the timer. That is as high tech as my appliances are.
My refrigerator has a cord with a plug at the end.
My stove has an igniter for the gas.
    Is that what you mean?

    Ken, no. :)
I use a old fashioned timer on my water heater when temps hit single digits or lower. A plug that activates at 38 in my pump house which turns on a incandescent bulb.
