Congrats on ordering a new truck and realizing you want to leave work behind.

61.5. Not shocked. Saddened. Truly a great. I don't know details, but he had brain cancer.

Me. Brings that "aging" thought into mind real quickly. granted, he had cancer but something's going to get us all at some point. I'm 3 months short of 65.

It's usable now. I haven't put in a lift yet though. Still waffling over what to do about floor finishes. If anything.

I wasn't a Rush fan in particular. But it wasn't because the music was bad, it was more because I kinda just stopped listening to music for a while. I like the Rush songs I've heard. RIP Neil Peart.

I’m 71, grew up in the SF Bay Area in the 60’s. Never saw Rush in person but I was totally into rock and roll. Saw many many old groups at the Fillmore and Avalon Ball Room in SF. Saw groups like Grace Slick and the Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Country Joe and the Fish, Santana, and so many others. Yes I miss Pearls. I miss all the old rockers that are passing.
What I’ve been doing for the last few years is seeing all the old R and R bands I can that are still playing even if they only have one original member. Saw Three Dog Night last year, also saw The Temptations in Vegas, and several years saw ago Paul Revere and the Raiders, Blood Sweat and Tears, Bob Seager and the Silver Bullet Band and many others. Later this year going to see Rod Stewart in Vegas. Just want to see as many groups as I can before I can’t. I’m also big into country but that’s another story.
All the groups I’ve seen last several years performed spectacularly but I think the Temptations were the best.
If you can, you need to get out there and see some of these groups while you can. It will take you back to another time, a more pleasant time and lots of memories..
Old time Rock and Roll and Country music, not much better than that.

    Good morning Susan, gang,
I'll have to call the Post Office, only one of my old stoves showed up yesterday, stuck in Sacramento looks like. A 109 year old Primus 96 stove, got the oldest one which I need to go thru today and fire it up.

Exciting week so far...at least in Toyota terms. Had someone ask about my 2004 a few weeks ago. I decided to reach out to her since I was thinking of trading it on the new one - and she is going to buy it. I'll meet her on Friday afternoon to transfer the title. Sorry to see it go - it's been a great truck for us.

And, yesterday I got a VIN on the 2020 Army Green TRD Pro. It was scheduled for a 1/22 build date so I'm assuming they pre-assign VIN sometime prior to the point it enters production. I'm excited, though.

No, I'm not. I have not liked how they've changed since a new leadership team took over a year+ ago. They've gotten really aggressive, IMHO. Thye forgot I was going to buy a Tacoma and when they got a new Tundra offered to sell it to me at "something" less than $5k over invoice because they wanted a "high profile" person driving it and then did the same when the deal fell through on the AG MT Tacoma they'd ordered when it arrived. I knew their former VP well and he moved to Freedom Toyota in Hamburg. That's where I'm buying but will probably do the majority of maintenance at ToS - their maintenance shop has ben good on my 2004.

I also found out by looking around here that what I received is not really a VIN although that's what it's called on the sheet. It does reflect where (Texas) and when (3rd week of January) it is scheduled for build. Assuming they didn't count the first few days after New Years as a production week, the 3rd week is next week and that aligns with the projected 1/22 build date. The number I have has a letter in the last 6 digits where an actual VIN will be all numbers in the last six digits.

Good Afternoon folks. Welcome to the porch Jim. Most of the folks are in the 60's but alas, I have hit the seventies as well (71 yrs old) as well as a few others. Don't really feel that old and still try to keep active. Pull up a rocker and join in the posts. Good folks (especially Ms. Susan ).
